I awoke to see the horror of my mistakes. A black smudge was smeared across my book, and my scream most likely woke up the entire floor. My roommate shot up.

"NOT THE TACOS!" She screamed. She then let out a scream similar to mine as she saw the autologout screen.
"I'm worried for your health" I said as I grabbed my shower bag and marched my way to the showers.

After my Hollywood shower, I walked to my first period of the day. As I was walking, the tardy bell rang, and I started to run, and apparently so did Gabe. As I turned the corner, he smacked straight into me. My papers flew all over the place, and my hair was out of place.
"I am so sorry" he said worriedly while he picked up my papers. I started to help, but he stopped me.
"It's my fault, so I'll take the blame." he said right as the principal turned the corner.
"Gabriel Ledesma and Melanie Turpin, what a disappointment" she said as she stared at us.
"And I'm sure neither of you did anything" she said in a harsh tone.
"It was my fault" Gabriel practically screamed. She dragged him to her office, and a spreading of guilt filled my body, we all know that you come out of that office as strict as a ruler. Mostly.

After classes ended, I caught up to Gabriel and apologized to him for being rude, and expected him to be harsh, yet all he did was laugh.
"Trust me, it's not as bad as they make it to be" he said while he walked away. As he got further away, I felt like a part of me had disappeared. So I did what I had to do.
I chased after him.
