Chapter 4: The Duel

David and sulleta walk through a hallway as many people talk about them.

Suddenly nika

Nika: ms sulleta mr david good morning!

Sulleta: o-oh hello.

David: hey ms nanaura.

Nika: I saw your friend's duel! I was blown away his mobile suit is amazing, I have so many questions how does it move around like that it must be so heavy yet it glides so smoothly and its rifle most beam weapons have some level of recoil yet it has none and-

She continues as David tries to answer.

Nika: and your suit how does its swarm weapons block beam shots?

David: oh they use an i-field rated for much more powerful beam weapons.

Nika nods.

Nika: I heard that most outer sphere ships use I field for defending against space debris, and how do they move is it based on a standard permet link or is-

David: no they respond to my brainwaves allowing for a much faster response time.

Nika: oh okay

Guel: hey mercurian girl, pluto boy!

David: what the fuck?

Sulleta: David!

They both and Nika turn to look at Guel and his posse.

Guel: that last duel was in null so it doesn't count though I did enjoy it.

He then smiles slightly.

Guel: so let's end this once and for all got it?

David: understood, though who is going to be your wingmate?

Lauda: that would be me.

David: brothers huh?

They then glare at each other.

David: I'm going to punch you.

He then turns and walks away.

Sulleta: David?

She then runs after him

Lauda: what did he mean by that brother?

Later

David and sulleta look up at hi nu as technicians remove the external propellant tanks and set a box into the ms container.

Sulleta: hey David?

David: yeah?

Sulleta: what's in the container?

David: I can sense some bullshit is gonna happen so I had the boss bring another part of hi nu's armament, by the way, is everything on aerial all it has?

Sulleta: I think so.

David: Okay, you know a physical armament wouldn't be so bad, like a heat blade.

Sulleta: a heat blade?

David: yeah it's a bladed weapon whose blade can be superheated, it's just as effective as a beam saber if not better in some situations.

Sulleta: oh I see I'll ask Mom about it later.

David nods as hi nu is put into the container, which closes soon after.

Elan: sulleta mercury, David Martini your presence has been requested at the dueling lounge.

They both turn around to look at the emotionless student.
