The Girl In The Graveyard

" I'm going to the graveyard. Will you come with me ? " says Takeshi to Sam, while they are leaving the campus.

" Why ? " asks Sam. It was very unusual question, but Takeshi looks serious.

" I'll tell you when we reach there. It's not far. " says Takeshi.

He's one of Sam's student and close friend. So, Sam agrees.

" Let's go and buy some flowers first. " says Takeshi.

It was just a normal day for Sam as an English teacher. But, he never went to a graveyard in Japan before. After, buying the flowers they go to their destination.

Sam keeps following Takeshi silently, until Takeshi stops in front of a tombstone.

" My lovely grandma ! I miss her so much. " says Takeshi with great affection, looking at the tombstone. And, continues, " She lived alone. Wish I could have spent more time with her. "

" You should have come with your family instead. " says Sam.

Takeshi laughs and says, " My parents don't even remember its grandma's birthday. Come on ! Let's put flowers. "

Takeshi puts flower on grandma's tombstone and bows. Afterwards, Sam does the same.

Their attention gets caught by the lady at a distance. Putting her head on a tombstone's edge, she was crying with tears running down her face. Sam was looking at her, but, the emotionless stare of the girl besides that woman made Sam to look away. He thought the girl is woman's daughter. Girl had short hair and was standing so still, staring at Sam. Sam finds the girl creepy, because instead of comforting her mother she was just staring at him.

" Let's go to the bus stop. Grandma will be happy now. " says Sam with smile, and they leave the graveyard.
