"Y/n, honey, wake up, you need to go to school, its your first day of your new high school!"
Your dad shook you softly while you lay on your bed, groaning from how early you had to wake up.
"I don't wanna go to school today, dad..."
"I know sweetie, but you have to go."
You groan once more and sit up with a yawn.
"Good morning, cupcake. Get dressed and head downstairs, I made you breakfast."
You let out a nervous laugh and smiled, sitting up, and pushing your dad out of the room so you could get dressed. Your dad was NEVER the best cook, so you just hoped you wouldn't die when you ate his food. This was why you always cooked.
Deciding not to wear anything fancy, you got into a black oversized shirt, baggy jeans, A ring, and the necklace your mom gave to you before she died. You walked downstairs to see your dad serving you and you just stood there, looking at it hesitantly.
"Look, I know I'm not the best cook, but I really tried this time. Can you at least try it?"
You sigh and smile, sitting down in your chair with a soft nod.
"Okay, but just because you tried really hard and I don't wanna let you down."
Your dad smiled and watched you slowly scoop up a piece of what seemed to be oatmeal, and put it in your mouth.
You almost spit it out immediately, but forced yourself to swallow it, putting on a fake smile and putting up a thumbs up to your dad.
"I-It tastes amazing, d-dad!"
You muster out. He smiles, clearly happy with your comment as he skips out of the rooms. You immediately spit the little bit you had in your mouth in the trash and dumped it out.
"Hurry up and leave now, Cupcake, or you're gonna be late!"
You groan and scream yes back to him, grabbing your backpack and running out the door with an 'I love you.'
You begin your journey to your new high school since you got kicked out of your old one.
