"Kyo, you're wasting your cursed energy. You're never going to be able to keep up if you don't listen to what I'm saying."

The dark grey haired woman tucked a strand behind her ear to get a clearer view of her younger brother, who was dripping with sweat, occasionally sending glares her way.

"I-I'm trying!!" He yelled back slightly too loud, his body beginning to tire.

Airi had been working with him ever since he had made it to Tokyo in order for him to reach the other students abilities, though both of them knew that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. He was battling against students that had been there for longer and were much more confident with their cursed techniques.

She was desperate to help him catch up so he wasn't singled out like she was as a child, but there was only so many things she could shout at him before she was exhausted herself.

The dark haired boy eventually collapsed to the grass below him, earning a frown from Airi.

Though she knew she couldn't blame him, just one glance at Kyo and she could immediately tell he was on the verge of throwing up any second. His hair was stuck to his forehead and his face was a similar color to the cherry lollypop in her mouth.

"So?" She spoke up, tilting her head to the side and waiting for her brother's response.

Between breaths, he struggled to get out his words, "Control. I get it. I just can't."

She went quiet, observing Kyo while he got back up on his feet, reaching down to grab his katana once again. His perseverance put a smile on Airi's face, but she also knew that wasn't enough to go against any strong curse.

However, there was only so much she could help since she didn't share the same cursed technique, which meant a big part of it Kyo had to figure out on his own.

They were siblings, but not blood related, so while Kyo's cursed technique revolved around fog manipulation, Airi's was much different.

Looking for a break, and much more interested in his sister's power than his own, Kyo walked over to the wall where she was sat, taking a seat next to her with a mischievous grin.

"I still don't understand yours." He admitted, shrugging while watching her out of the corner of her eye, waiting for her to suggest that she explain so he didn't have to ask. It wasn't like she hadn't explained a hundred times before though, it's just he loved hearing it over and over.

Airi shook her head with a smile, letting out a small laugh as she prepared to explain it to him again, twisting around in her seat to face him.

"You know it's to do with my eyes, don't you?"

Kyo immediately nodded, rolling his own eyes, "Yes, yes. Please don't go through the boring stuff and just show me."

Airi was a few years older than Kyo, he still was only 19 and was much more immature than her, which showed quite a lot. He acted like a child still at times and they argued quite a lot because of it, though Airi made sure they always made up quickly.

Neither of them had any other family, all they had was each other and sometimes Kyo forgot that, but Airi never did. She made sure to protect him no matter what, she gave her life for it and would happily abandon everything to save him.

Her cursed technique relied completely on her eyes. At first sight they seem normal, no different than anyone else's. But when she activates each of her techniques, they change into different sets of eyes that hide behind her original ones.

"Immobilization." She stated, starting with her first ability, activating it which turned her eyes black, making Kyo freak out at both the sight and it's effects. Neither of them could move, them meeting eyes causes both to be completely paralysed.
