1. little accident

I arrived at the hotel around noon, anticipating a wait for Brian to arrive. However, the moment I entered the lobby, I couldn't help but notice several stern-looking men dressed in black positioned throughout the area. It didn't take long for me to spot Brian among them, wearing similar attire, as he made his way toward the elevator. I trailed behind, but my distance prevented me from catching up to him. Instead, I lingered near the elevator, keeping an eye on the display atop, hoping to determine which floor he would stop at. The numbers continued to ascend until reaching the 48th floor, prompting me to select a different elevator to continue my pursuit.

While I wait to reach the top, let me tell you about Brian. Brian works as a security guard for the renowned Sullivan family, who have established themselves as real estate moguls. They have made a name for themselves in the industry, owning and managing luxury hotels, bars, and clubs. However, there are whispers of their involvement in questionable activities. When asked about it, Brian consistently denies any knowledge of illicit affairs, emphasizing that his role primarily entails typical security duties. He ensures the safety of the premises from the outside, diligently guarding the doors.

Brian has decided with Ember that this will be his final year working for the Sullivans. He desires a more flexible job that would allow him to dedicate more time to their future family. With the generous pay he receives, he aims to save enough money to make a fresh start.

When the elevator door opens, I'm filled with apprehension as I realize I'll have to knock on doors in search of him. But then I spot him entering a room at the far end of the corridor. Before allowing my rage to take over and follow to strangle him, I notice two other men dressed in black with earpieces, giving off secret-agent vibes, lingering near the room and engaged in a heated conversation. and I had a feeling they wouldn't appreciate my presence.

I quickly change course and head towards the stairs. After all, who takes the stairs to the 50th floor? I wait for them to move away, sensing that they're waiting for someone else. As they come closer, I hear multiple voices. after I heard the elevator door opened then closed, I try to listen for any signs of more people, but the floor remains quiet, bringing a sense of relief. 

I know I could've just called Brian and abandoned this whole spy act, but I'm driven by the need to uncover the truth behind those photos. I want to know what's really going on and if there's any truth to Ember's pain.

As I'm about to turn down the corridor again, I notice a woman wearing a barely-there dress entering the same room I saw him go into. Seeing red, I can't help but think about how he could do this to Ember, someone who loves him so deeply. Was all that affection just a facade from the start?

"I swear I'll kill him!" I mutter angrily, consumed by a mix of fury, determination, and the quest for justice.

I grabbed hold of a fire extinguisher hanging from the wall and burst into the room. The suite was huge and shrouded in darkness, with only a faint glow emanating from a floor lamp. The blinds were tightly shut too, concealing the scene within. I could hear grunts and muffled moans of a girl as if she were burying her face into a pillow.

My dear friend shattered and drained of life, lay broken while he reveled in his own pleasure. 

At that moment, without thinking, I silently closed in, tightly gripping the hefty metal bottle, and with all my strength, I brought it crashing down on the treacherous bastard.

Now, LISTEN, I know I said I wanted to kill him, but honestly, that was more of a figure of speech... MOSTLY... I mean, I definitely didn't want to spend the rest of my days behind bars. and it wasn't my fault that I aimed for his back when he turned and gave me his face. Let's face it, we're adults, and we all bear responsibility for our actions. and I.AIMED.FOR.HIS.BACK.
