"Mom! Dad! No!" I watched my parents get killed in front of me. Now they can't see me graduate from high school, which was in a week. That same week, I found out my boyfriend cheating on me. Can it possibly get any worse? Well, it did. My college called me and declined my acceptance into the place. There was nothing else I could do. I didn't even bother to show up to graduation day.
"Ring! Ring!" "Who in the world is calling me?" I yelled. I answered anyways.
"Hello?"
"Yes, is this Miss Jessie?"
"It depends. Who's asking?"
"I'm Mr. Lee, principle of Chae University. I want to offer you a scholarship to study here. Of course I will let you think about it first."
I didn't have to think. Now that other college dropped me, it can't hurt to study there right?
"Okay. I'll accept your offer."
"Good. You may move into the dorms tomorrow. I already mailed your plane tickets."
Before I could say anything else, he hung up.
One year later...
I've been attending Chae University for over a year already. I have been the top student in the whole school. You can call me nerdy. I barely talk to anyone but I'm satisfied with where I am.
