Jack wasn't as experienced as Finn when it came to singing, so he practiced at home over and over again with his guitar. He didn't want to embarass himself in front of his old friend and a literal band, so he practiced until his fingers and throat hurt. It was also the first time in a long time that he started to ignore Asher's texts. He felt bad, but wanted to make sure that he wasn't in a weird guilty mood once Finn reached out when and where to meet. If  the boy was even serious about hanging out.

If Finn ended up ghosting him until the next event they would awkwardly meet at, Jack was internally ready to pick himself up and keep working on at least getting a situationship with Asher.

To make sure that Asher didn't think he was dead, Jack started an Insta live. He said hi to his fans tuning in, but didn't really read the comments too much. He just practiced on his guitar, and occassionally took requests.

Asher commented on his live. that's my bestie! Said the comment with a smiling emoji that had a tear. It was really cute, and made Jack nervously bite his lower lip as he continued to strum his intstrument.

And then suddenly, Finn commented.

Fuck. Finn was watching?

Jack felt his fingers stiffen, and fumbled on the notes while he read the comment.

You still sound so good! Let's play together soon.

Why did Jack have to be in this kind of situation, 7AM on a Sunday with the worst hangover of his life and both crushes watching him.

You should play our song! Asher commented. Jack smiled, "Right Asher, and let everybody feed into the rumors?" Jack said while playfully rolling his eyes.

What about our song then?  Finn commented.

Jack's smile dropped. The fuck? What song, and why was there somehow tension in the fucking chat between his crushes?

FACK AND JASHER ON A SUNDAY MORNING THE LORD BLESSED ME TODAY!!

ksfhsdh Asher u j gon let Finn take your mans?

JEALOUS FINN HAS ENTERED THE CHAT AFTER 1873623876428 YEARS

The fucking chat was a mess. Jack smiled at the camera as he stopped playing, and waved. "I have to get ready and make breakfast in a bit! But thanks for hanging out with me guys, I gotta go."

Jack put down his guitar, and picked up his phone. He avoided looking at the chat best he could, but managed to see the last chats entered by Finn and Asher, both saying the same thing.

Check your texts.

Jack pursed his lips as he scrolled on his phone, his fans being messy on Twitter. Everybody was posting screenshots of his live from the morning, getting into heated Jasher vs Fack debates and freaking out over the interactions between Jack, Finn, and Asher. While some memes made Jack laugh, especially one that suggested "Facksher" stans had galaxy brains, he overall felt a little queasy as he remembered how off he felt when he was younger about fans shipping him with Finn. He hoped that this time around, with them all being adults and not kids, that the shipping wouldn't tear them apart like before.

He did end up checking his texts, and saw Asher's dumb memes he sent. They were really funny, and something about his friend that Jack loved was that he always could make him laugh. He was supportive, and there for him when he needed it most after he made stupid mistakes as a kid that got blasted online. Maybe he shouldn't have been vaping as a literal child, but he blamed the industry for his early addictions. Finn texted him a time and place to meet up. His texts were more serious than Asher's. Finn and Asher were practically opposites, and on top of that were closest with Jack at completely different times of the actor's life.

Jack sighed as he fell back into his bed, his curls laid around his head like a halo on his pillow as he stared up at the ceiling. He had to meet up with Finn soon. He had no idea what was going to happen, or even what he would wear.

Fuck! What was he gonna wear?!

Jack scrambled to his feet, ignoring his fuzzy slippers and stepping across the cold hardwood floor to rush to his closet. Finn was like, cool now. Well, he was always cool, but now his style definitely caught up to match his personality. Should Jack wear something dark, should he wear leather? Did he even own leather? Jack pushed his hangers back and forth in his closet, sweat starting to build on his forehead as he continued to stress. All of his clothes were bright primary or pastel colors. Along with that, there was just too much pompous designer pieces filling his closet to the brim from his past photoshoots. He almost decided to wear one but, Finn just seemed really like, down to Earth. Why the hell didn't Jack own even a damn flannel?

Jack settled on a thick navy turtleneck, black jeans, and a simple gold necklace with a small hourglass low on his chest. He stared at himself in the mirror until he was satisfied with the look, and moved his gaze up to his face. He definitely looked hungover. "Shit," Jack sighed, dragging his fingers down his cheeks as he stared at his sunked eyes. Well, minimal makeup wouldn't hurt. And besides, Jack was already out of the closet. Finn probably wouldn't have a problem with him wearing makeup.

Jack started with just concealer under his eyes, but he just couldn't stop there. Feeling washed out, he decided to put on a little blush. Once he did, he thought his eyes didn't pop as much as he wanted. After smudging a thin black line across his lashes, he felt satisfied with his look.

Popping his lips after applying some chapstick, Jack hurried out of his house and into his car. He input the address Finn gave him into Google Maps, his hands shakily handling his phone. With a sigh, he started his car. There was no going back now, he could only move forward and hope for the best.
