Chapter 1

Percy's pov:

I wiped down the last table in the bakery before going behind the desk to fetch my bag. On the way I passed Serina, the manager's daughter.

"Hey Percy are you leaving now?" She asked, sitting on the counter. Serina had medium length dyed pink curly hair that seemed as if it shined on top of her beautiful dark skin. Her dark brown eyes looked down at me waiting for an answer.

"Yeah my brothers don't want me out too long after the kidnapping rates went up last week." Serina looked away silently. I knew why. Her sister had been one of the kidnapped victims who hadn't been found in a month.

"I'm sorry for your sister Serina." "It was my fault. My mom told me to watch her but she wanted to feel like someone who could do stuff on their own and walked away from me behind the slides. I heard her scream before silence took over and when I went to see what happened there was nothing but a bloody handprint on the side of the slide. I should have watched her better instead of complaining to my mom about her on the phone." She sniffled.

I walked over and hugged her for a while. "I'm sure they'll find her."

"Yea, thanks. bye Percy!" Serina waved. "Say hello to your brothers for me, okay?" I waved back "yea bye!" I stepped out past the bakery door and into the dark street. In the morning this place looked beautiful with bright paints and many shops that lit up. But even those tiny lights didn't give enough brightness for me to see.

It was pitch black with a few street lamps flickering but none wanting to stay on long enough to guide me home. I walked to the nearby park to call my older brothers to pick me up.

I stood on the edge of the sidewalk calling Leon first. No answer. I then tried calling Carter. Again no answer. Sitting down on a bench I tried calling for Michael. There was an answer this time. "Brother where are you? I thought you guys were coming to pick me up."

"I'm sorry Percy i can't find Leon or Carter they were here just a sec-" there was a sharp thud on the other side. "Michael are you okay what happened!?" I yelled into the phone frantically. "Percy." I let out a painful gasp at the voice. The familiar voice.

"W-what…?" I stuttered in shock. The person on the other end I knew so well took that as an answer. "Run Percy. Run from me. I want to play tag like we used to remember? Let's see if you can beat me this time." Hands shaking, I quickly turned and bolted down the street. A million thoughts were let loose in my head.

'how did he find me?' 'I thought he was sent to jail for what he did to me.' 'Is he behind me?' I continued running even moving my legs faster to look to my sides. Nothing. I looked behind me. Nothing. Moving my eyesight back in front of me my mouth opens and my bottom lip trembles. I was lost.

The neighborhood looked unfamiliar to me. I looked for a street name. There it was. 'fuck out of all the times.' The street name had graffiti on it. Completely covered in a black base with bright colors labeled on it. Suck my balls. 'How wonderful.' I had to find my way back. I turned around once, noticing the big sign at the end lighting up with the words "Dead end! Turn around!" I was met with a tall body completely covered in black cloth.

My head snapped up to the person's face. Covered by a mask but I knew who it was. The figure raised its hand and I closed my eyes tightly expecting a hit.

There was a tap on my forehead. 'huh..' I opened my eyes. The man smiled down at me with his eyes. "Tag you're it." I went to move my leg but was grabbed by the throat tightly. "Do you know how long I've waited for this day, Percy? To finally have you with me again." He questioned and I didn't answer. He squeezed tighter on my throat. "I-i" the man laughed, squeezing even tighter that I could feel myself going in and out of consciousness.

With the pressure I finally stopped struggling against him. My vision was blurry as he held me to his chest letting go but it didn't calm my already closing eyelids.

"I'll see you tomorrow dear."

A/N: i hope you guys like the first part but it is not done obviously. I still want to make the other chapters long so i will be working for awhile.
