Life has finally started to treat Liberty kindly, but how long will it last? Friendships are rekindled, but is the MI High team about to lose an agent - permanently, this time?

On Saturday, everyone awoke relatively early, splitting up to do their own thing for the day. "I have to head to MI9 HQ for a meeting with the head, so I'm leaving you to your own devices. Please don't destroy the base whilst I'm gone." Frank was gone before anyone had the chance to object. Keri grinned as she headed for the lift. "I'm meeting Katrina in town! It's been so long since I last saw her." Aneisha smiled as she strolled across the room. "Hold the doors! Tom and I are going on a date to the cinema." The trio piled into the lift, turning to look at their friends expectantly. "Well, you guys might as well come into town, too." Dan smirked as he held up his gym kit. "Already planned on it." He moved into the lift, leaving the twins to stare at each other. "Shall we? I need to go clothes shopping because I've got nothing decent to wear anymore. I think I'm getting fat." Liberty raised a delicate eyebrow at her sister and grinned, and Madison knew what her sister would say. "More clothes? Have you seen our room lately, Madi? It looks more like the local New Look in there." Keri stifled a grin. "Don't think I haven't noticed the clothes that have found their way into my wardrobe, Madi." Liberty grabbed her bag and tossed Madison's in her general direction. "Come on, then. What are we waiting for?" The pair quickly entered the lift, and Tom flipped the switch, allowing the doors to close behind them and bring them to ground level. "I'm so excited to kick back and relax!" Madison playfully rolled her eyes as Liberty squealed, but the excited glint in the girl's eye brought her immense joy. It was clear for all to see that Liberty was having a better day today, and they all prayed it would last long enough for them to enjoy being around her. "You're excited to spend all your money, Libs. I can read you like a book, you know." Liberty was offended for a split second before a laugh erupted from within, and a beaming smile almost split her face in half. "Ass." After a short bus journey, the six teens immediately split up, calling out goodbyes as they strolled away.

Keri stopped outside Katie's Café and took a deep breath, spotting Katrina at a table through the window. As soon as they locked eyes, Katrina squealed with excitement, and Keri couldn't help the grin that crossed her face. "KERI! It feels like forever since I last saw you!" Keri rolled her eyes in exasperation when the other girl wasn't looking. "It's been a year, Kat." Katrina shrugged as they sat together and leaned in close. "So, what the goss? Anything new in the life of Keri Summers? Spill the beans, KK!" Inside, Keri felt a pang of sadness; that nickname brought back too many memories. "You're the only civilian who knows about my childhood and where I grew up; you know that?" Seeing the other teen nod, she continued. "Well, the spy stuff is still happening, except it's completely legal now. Got the badge and everything." Katrina looked unsurprised. "We always knew it would happen eventually. You can take the girl away from the spy life, but you can't take the spy life away from the girl." She motioned for Keri to continue talking. "Did you see the hunky blonde boy I got off the bus with? Well, he's my sort of boyfriend now. It's not official yet." Keri took a sip of the drink Katrina had bought her as Katrina raised an eyebrow. "Is that the same hunky blonde boy you mentioned to me when you first moved here? The one who was dating your sister Zoe?" Keri choked on her drink as she snorted. "It sounds awful when you put it like that, but yeah. I guess redheads are his type." There was a short pause. "It's complicated. I think he's still in love with Zoe, and all I do is remind him of what he lost." Katrina considered her words for a moment before changing the subject. "How's the Taylor situation? Please tell me they've settled their differences by now." Keri sighed; she didn't know how much she could share with the girl. "They're okay. Madi left temporarily, which made Libby realise how much she loved her. Having them around is chaos 90% of the time, but I wouldn't change it for the world." When Keri looked up, Katrina wasn't even listening. "Typical."
