"thank you guys for helping me tonight," seungcheol said as he set a utensil down on the balcony table.

"of course! we'll always help with anything," jihoon replied.

"especially for y/n," jeonghan added a bit teasingly. seungcheol smiled to himself as the three made their way back inside where some others were cooking together.

"when should y/n be here?" joshua asked. seungcheol checked his phone for the time while joshua looked down at what he was cooking.

"any minute."

"great! cause this is done!"

seungcheol's eyes brightened. the smells in the dorm's kitchen were already amazing, so he couldn't wait to see how the taste delivered.

"he's here! that's his car right?" seungkwan shouted from a window. before seungcheol could even look, his phone buzzed with a text from y/n saying he'd arrived.

"mhm, that's him!"

"AHH! okay have fun! we'll disappear now!" soonyoung said happily as some of them began dispersing into their rooms.

"oh, no you guys don't have to disappear. this is still your house," seungcheol pointed out. "and we'll probably be outside most of the time anyways if not coming in for a movie or something after we eat."

"you sure?"

seungcheol frowned and flicked his groupmate's head.

"of course i'm sure."

seungcheol now began walking to the front door to greet his crush. his eagerness was written all over his face as he stepped outside right as y/n was walking up to the door.

"cheol!"

"hi, y/nnn," the taller chimed, hugging him for a moment. after pulling away, he instantly felt the urge to kiss him. his eyes flickered from y/n's eyes to his lips, which the male could easily see.

y/n quickly stood taller on his toes to press his lips against seungcheol's, taking him a little by surprise. the taller gave him another quick kiss before leading him inside.

"hi y/n!" a few members greeted happily.

"hey guys!"

seungcheol continued leading y/n by the hand out to the large balcony where their dinner was set up. the sun was just beginning to set while a fire was lit nearby to keep them warm.

"oh my god," y/n mumbled in disbelief. "cheol, this is beautiful."

seungcheol smiled.

"i can't take all the credit. it was a few of the others' idea," he said, gesturing to the group back inside.

"well, it's amazing."

"they cooked too! i'll admit i was so impatient cause it all looks so good. but i told them how our dinner date kinda got interrupted last time so we came up with this instead."

y/n let out a small chuckle as he looked back at the other. he moved closer while he wrapped his arms around his shoulders with a smile that made seungcheol feel weak.

"i'll have to thank them for doing all this then, won't i?"

"mm," seungcheol paused as he looked at him and moved his own arms around the shorter's waist, "sure, but focus on me right now."

y/n laughed again and nodded.

"of course, babe." he said before kissing him again.

seungcheol felt like he couldn't get enough of his crush. things were beginning to feel so natural with him and he almost just never wanted to be away from him.

the pair finally got settled at their table together. y/n's eyes couldn't help but move between the sunset and the fairy lights hung around them. the scenery was perfect.

"thank you, seungcheol."

seungcheol's brows raised at the sudden thanks, before smiling and taking y/n's hand from across the table.

"of course. anything for you."
