It was now the next day, Nyla woke up feeling refreshed, she finally felt like today could be a good day.
Nyla woke up pretty early, so it took her time to get ready. She decided to wear navy blue bell bottom jeans, a chocolate brown sleeveless top with an unbuttoned sage green collar shirt. And to top it off, a scarlet red necklace. She styled her hair into a high ponytail with and a couple strands of hair hanging out on the side of her face. Simple, but cute.
After getting ready, Nyla grabbed her backpack and walked downstairs to find her mother in the kitchen, talking to the phone.
"Obviously! Life here is honestly not that bad, i'm not gonna lie, it's better than living over there. Although I miss you all so much! I can barely make any friends here, it's so hard because of the language barrier, but i'm getting by. Anyways, i'll see you guys later, Nyla's here!" Nyla's mother was talking to one of her friends in America, where she got along with almost everyone there. Nyla's mother was a socialite. She made friends easily, and she apparently peaked in high school.
"Good morning sweetie, feel any better?" Nyla's mother asked, sliding a bowl of cereal and a soon over to where Nyla sat, at the kitchen island.
"Morning mom, I'm fine now, I slept the cold away." Nyla answered.
"Glad to hear that, i've made some pancakes for you, help yourself and get on with school, okay?" Nyla's mother smiled.
"They look good, i'm so hungry." Nyla said. She skipped yesterdays dinner since she didn't have the appetite to eat any.
Nyla devoured the pancakes, if she had a ranking for all her favorite food, pancakes would be in her top 5.
"Slow down there honey, chew properly or you're gonna choke. It's not like the pancakes are gonna run away." Nyla's mother chuckled.
After Nyla ate her fill, she realized she was gonna be late. It's 7:20 and she's supposed to be at school by 7:35.
"Shit." Nyla cursed under her breath so her mother couldn't hear.
She quickly threw her backpack on and headed out the door while struggling to put her shoes on in a hurry.
"Bye mom!" Nyla said, not even waiting for her mom to respond.
Nyla had already remembered the route to her school, so the problem was if she could make it in time or not.
Nyla was quite the athletic girl, playing all sorts of sports but liked volleyball the most. She was also in a track team at her old school, making her running to be faster than average.
Nyla ran like her life depended on it, and she barely made it to school at 7:32. she could finally stop running and walk to class, while trying to catch her breath.
Bill spotted Nyla in the hallway and approached her, with tom on his side."
"Hey Nyla! You look exhausted. are u okay?" Bill asked as Nyla was literally gasping for air.
"Yeah, yeah i'm fine. I just ran here from home and I barely made it." Nyla answered as she drank from her water bottle that she brought to school.
"We all have the first class together! I'll walk you there." Bill said. Nyla honestly didn't even notice that Tom was next to bill, she was too immersed in talking with bill that she couldn't see Tom staring at her eyes.
As they walked into the class, all sorts of girls were staring at Nyla. "How would the new girl become so close with the Kaulitz twins?" "What business does she have with them?" Was probably what they thought while staring at her.
