I WAS ON A mission and nothing would stop me. An earthquake wouldn't and a zombie apocalypse sure as hell wouldn't keep me from getting my revenge. I was beyond motivated and today Jackson Kensington would find out what Karma was.

My boots click clacked on the pavement, the sound of traffic rushing by and cars honking  filled my ears but I paid the sound no mind and focused. Focused on like a laser on the scene playing out in front of me.

My jaw dropped in disbelief as Jackson Kensington opened the passenger  door and stretched out his hand. A smaller dainty one clasped his and a sophisticated woman stepped out,her designer red heels clicking on the ground.

The sight caused me to stop stunned and I wondered how a robot like him could be such a gentleman.

Only a few metres separated us and  the blonde  flipped her perfectly styled honey waves  over her shoulder, fixing  the lapels of my target's suit jacket. When she was done she ran her palm down the middle of his chest before coming to a stop where his heart should have been.

I could see Kensington's jaw clench from where I was standing and he smiled tightly before whispering something in his companion's ear that must have annoyed her because she scowled at him. Kensington didn't look amused either and removed her hand from his chest before placing his on her lower back.

What was happening between them? Were they having a lovers quarrel?

Unable to stomach the scene much longer,I looked away. Why did they have to look so perfect together?

They looked like the ultimate power couple. Both were dressed immaculately—her in an expensive looking white fur coat, a pair of designer heels and she topped off the look with a large diamond necklace and a pair of sun glasses.

Jealousy was never something I had problems with, but as I looked at her in all her glory and amazing fashion sense, a bolt of envy struck me like lightning.

And then there was Jackson.I wouldn't be surprised if I found out that the navy blue three piece suit was tailor made to fit his body. Suits that fitted people that tall and perfectly were hard to find.

Definitely tailor made.

The glasses must have been a mutually agreed upon accessory because he sported a pair as well.

A series of questions flooded my mind. Why did they need those glasses? It's not like the hydrogen and helium filled sun would have graced us with its presence any time soon. We were in the middle of winter, the sky was dove grey for crying out loud.

Why were they even in this part of town? Most people of their nature(the ruthless robots) would rather be caught dead than mingling with us common folk and would rather let one of their many staff members run their  errands for them. Not the other way round.

Once they had left, I closed the distance between myself and the car and just as I was about to touch it, Nihan's breathless voice met my ears and had me turning around.

"How? " she panted, depositing our shopping bags on the pavement.
"Do you walk so fast?" Her hands went to her knees as she leaned forward and looked at me.
