chapter 12

Khushi suddenly heard a loud bang as she heard footsteps and coughing coming in -" who is there?"

Arnav said to her -" khushi.....where are you?"

Khushi smiles happily -" arnav.....please save my sister arnav "

Arnav runs to khushi and was shocked to see an unconcious victoria, aman and karem follows behind as aman carried victoria in his arms and runs out of the house as karem walks to hayat who has almost fainted as khushi hugs arnav sobbing bitterly and arnav hug her back.

CITY HOSPITAL

The family is pacing front and back in front of the ward of victoria.

Max looks at hayat who has a bandage on her forehead -" what exactly happened?"

Hayat said to her -" we have no idea....we were sleeping when victoria rush to our room telling us that we should get out because the house is on fire....we tried to open the door but we just couldnt and i dont understand how "

Elisa side hug hayat as khushi saw luis, rachana and karem coming -" were you guys able to stop the fire?"

Karem nods -" yes but sorry......everything was lost, am so sorry for your lost "

All looks at him shocked as khushi said -" so we are now homeless?....this is impossible "

Rachana hugs her -" we lost everything khushi jiji.....where are we going to take jiji when she wake up, our childhood memories is all gone "

Rachana sobs harder as khushi tries to console her as the doctor came outvof the ward and arnav asked him -" how is she ?"

The doctor sighs -" sorry to inform you but victoria is on her last stage ......she has only six months to live "

All gulps shocked as the doctor said to khushi -" your sister very well know that khushi.....i told her last month when she came for a check up, i told her some medicines she must buy but i think she didnt because she is so weak.....she couldnt afford to buy the medicine, it a very expensive medicine.....if she doesnt get the medicine on time.....she might die 3 months from now.....it will not even get to six months "

All stood there stunned as khushi said to him -" where can i get the medicine?"

The doctor said to her -" we have some in hospital.....when you are ready just come to me "

Khushi just nods as the doctor walks away from there.

Max said to khushi -" we have to get a heart donal for her "

Khushi looks at him coldly -" you dont have to remind me of that "

Luis sighs -" you dont have to be rude khushi.....just let us help victoria, we can afford to pay "

Khushi said to him -" and so i cant afford?"

Luis said to her -" that is not what am trying to say....am just....."

Khushi interrupted and said to him -" just dont mister.....i can very well take care of my sister.....you werent there when we needed you the most and you just come here like everything is ok.....then no, nothing is right here "
Daljeet said to her -" calm down khushi.....let think with cool heads "
Khushi said to her -" oh please i dont need your sympathy.....we can very well look after ourselves and we dont need your help.....i wish you people never came back to our lives, we lost everything after you people came into our lives and i also dont wants to loose my sister sake of you.....so please leave us alone, stay away from us because we dont have any brothers or aunt "

Daljeet, max and luis looks at her with hurt expression as khushi folded her hands -" please leave.....go away from us "

Max almost run away from there with teary eyes as nadira runs behind him, luis also left from there and elisa runs behind him as daljeet gave khushi a sad smile -" ok if that is what you wants.....i wont force you to accept us but just always remember that you girls have a family....take care "

Daljeet left from there as daniella tries to talk to khushi -" khushi...."

Khushi raised her hand -" not now......i have more important things to do "

Khushi left from there as hayat follows her from behind as rachana walks to arnav and place her head on his shoulder -" thanks arnav bhai "

Arnav smiles a little and kiss her hair -" mention not rachana "

Khushi entered the burnt down house as hayat follows her from behind as khushi started searching for something -" what are you searching for?"

Khushi said to her -" my handbag.....it contains important documents and some cards....i need to withdraw money for the medicines of jiji "

Hayat said to her -" it with me.....i threw it out of the window when the fire started "

Khushi looks at her surprised -" what?....where?"

Hayat took her at the back yard of the house where khushi's room window is as they saw two bags there and took it and check inside their bags and saw everything intact.

Khushi said to her -" come on let go and withdraw the money "

Hayat nods -" ok but khushi ......where are them going to leave after we return to delhi?"

Khushi sighs -" i think i must rent an apartment for them "

Hayat said to her -" but the doctor said the medicines are very expensive.....how can you afford them both at a time.....you take care of the medicines and i will handle their expenses "

Khushi looks at her -" you dont have to hayat.....it your savings "

Hayat smiles at her -" you are my sister too khushi and we must help each other......please dont be stubborn and make me do this.....am not doing this for you but for myself, they are my sisters too so is my responsibility to take care of them in moments like this "

Khushi said to her -" you dont really....."

Hayat interrupted -" you just stop......why am i am even asking your permission to take care of my own sisters.....shoo let go get everything ready "

Khushi tried to protest but hayat drags her along with her before she can say anything.

CITY HOSPITAL

Khushi and hayat entered the ward of victoria and saw aman and rachana there talking to victoria who is giggling happily -" hey khushi?......aman is such a joker "

Aman looks into her eyes -" just for you "

Victoria blushes slightly as hayat smirks -" you are blushing sis.....you look so cute "

Victoria looks at her -" am not blushing you naughty girl "

All laughs as hayat said to her -" we have arranged a new apartment "

Someone said from behind -" i think that is not need......they would be staying in sheesh mahal "

All looks at arnav as khushi said to him -" i dont think that is right "
Arnav said to her -" but i think that is right.....i mean everything is lost, you use the money paying for the rent buy new things, new clothes because everything is lost "
Victoria said to khushi -" i think arnav is right khushi but we cant be in the same root with the twin brothers and their aunt "

Arnav said to her -" that is not needed because they are moving out......they have bought a new mansion around sheesh mahal "

Victoria nods -" let just stay there for the main time "

Khushi nods -" ok if you insist.....thanks arnav "

Arnav just smiles at her and look into her eyes intensely.
