"I love.. I love that I'm the first person you go to with this!" You rose to your feet, throwing your left hand up in the air as an act of excitement for what your BFF just told you over the phone.

However the ladder beneath you wasn't prepared your excitement as it teetered precariously, swaying to one side as your heart skipped a beat while time seems to slow down as you froze in the spot you were in.

Your eyes widened with a mix of surprise and panic as you teetered dangerously close to the edge of the ladder, your right arm flailing around to regain your balance while your left hand quickly caught your phone that had fallen from it's spot on your shoulder, under your ear.

Yoir other reflexes soon kicked in and before you could fall off of the ladder and smash your head into the kitchen sink, you tightly grabbed onto one of the ladder steps with your right hand due to your lightning-fast reflexes, though you dropped the new light bulb you were holding, since you were changing it when your BFF called you.

Before the light bulb could hit one of the ladder steps and shatter, you grabbed it with your index finger and thumb on your left hand, grabbing it just before it hit the ladder step.

Your heart was visibly racing in your chest, your chest rising and falling for every second that passed in your shocked state, but you sighed in relif once the ladder stopped moving, now finally standing still while you tried to calm your breathing.

It was quiet for what felt like hours, but in real time it was only a minute or two before your BFF decided to break the intense silence, "What the fuck just happened.!" she laughed a surprised laugh while she talked, thinking what just happened was unbelievably funny and intense.

"Well.. This ladder clearly doesn't like excitement and wanted to end my life for it.." You reply now laughing out of breath, your chest still rising and falling while you try to brearh normally again, "Or it just wanted to crack my head open, I don't know." Your eyes flicker while you shrug.

You swith the light bulb over to your right hand, putting your phone back to where it was before the total disaster happened where it fell off, "What a party popper!" Your BFF jokes, and you could just imagine her fake mad, pouty face over the phone.

You chuckle while skrewing in the light bulb, "Yeah, what a party popper." You grab onto the ladder with your left hand, taking your phone from it's spot under your ear with your right hand.

You crawl down the ladder, your feet finally meeting the solid ground again, though you stumble a bit due to you being a bit dizzy from almost falling off the ladder just seconds before, but you were thankful this didn't have to be your last, thanks to your lightning-fast reflexes that kicked in at the last second.

"Well, I have to go now. I'll have to put this party popper away so it doesn't cause any other problems for me. I'll see you in two days!" You say exitedly into the phone, "See you then! Remember to bring the snacks this time! Cause I'm going out to get them again!" You chuckle.

"Yeah, yeah. I'll see you!" You say before your BFF hangs up the phone while you shake your head, chuckling as you look at the ladder in front of you.

You fold the ladder together, taking it under your right arm and walking back to the door leading out to your garage where you got it from, "Hhhh... You really want to cause me trouble today, huh? Why are you so heavy anyway!- Nevermind, you're made of metal.." You sigh opening the door and walking down the two steps into the garage.

Leaning the ladder up against the wall again, you sigh in relief when you remember your life is still, somehow, not in pieces yet and you have a new mystery to discover and solve, waiting for you at your desk.

You walk back inside, closing and locking the door to the garage behind you, not feeling like doing anything else today, since you almost just died or got a hole in your skull by just changing the light bulb in the kitchen because you had to or else there wouldn't be any light in there.

Your footsteps are abnormally quiet as you walk to your bedroom where your computer was on your desktop.

You'd learned to do this due to some things that happened in the dark in your past, and also a bit because you've been in a horror movie and your footsteps had to be quiet so the killer wouldn't hear you.

Though it wasn't always on purpose that you walked quietly, 'cause you were in your own house and no one was sleeping, since no one else was there besides you.

You sit down in your desk chair, opening up your computer and turning it on while you lean back in the chair, waiting for it to open up to your lock screen, so you could unlock it, though it seemed to be a lot slower than usual, or maybe it was just you that was inpatient at the moment.

It finally opened and you put in your code, now waiting for it to open up to your home screen, so you could look into this mysterious website you BFF was talking about earlier.

When it opens up to your workspace, you quickly click onto safari to search up the website your BFF said to search, and it lead you to a home page with some character on it, you didn't what it looked like, but it had blue hair and yellow skin for some reason.

You were so busy looking through the website that you didn't even notice it was getting dark outside and that the time was speeding by fast.

You click around on the neighborhood, trying to see if you can find any other secrets that you hadn't already looked over yet, but it wasn't until you clicked on the black void for the second time and then clicked on the text, 'So below'.

You were sent to a blank page, the type of black page where you could see yourself on the black screen, but it wasn't you..?

There was nothing on your screen, it was literally just a blank screen, you couldn't see any sort of reflection, but it wasn't because it was dark inside and outside now, because the moon was shining and the light would of reflected onto something that the screen would of seen, but instead there was nothing there at all.

You try to click out of it and close the page, but you couldn't, it was like it had taken up the whole screen, so you tried to shut down your computer, but it couldn't shut down, it was like your whole computer had froze.

"Huh..?" You question when text suddenly shows up on the screen, 'Y/n L/n.', You looked at it with confusion and shock when a black and white spiral suddenly showed up on the screen and started spinning, "Wha-!" You closed your eyes tightly due to your head suddenly started to spin and you were starting to get dizzy.

You slowly stand up from your chair, since you were gonna go get some water from the kitchen, when you started to feel something warm and liquidy roll down from nose..

Your nose was bleeding..

And before you could take another step towards the door, you fall to the ground unconscious..

You'd fainted because of the extreme dizziness and because the ringing in your ears that caused you to get a bigger headache than you already had...
