They both poke their straws in. Rain is very thankful but scared to say anything. She kicks her feet under the table until she accidentally kicks Emz. "OOPS I'm sorry" Rain says. "It's okay" Emz says. Rain's anxiety only makes her want to kick more, but she stops. When they walk out of the store, Emz quickly hugs Rain and runs away. Rain pauses and runs home.
later, rain is texting emz. she can't help but kick her feet. she locks her door and opens the window to leave and go to emzes house.
"And then I said fard!!! " emz said. they both laughed until they were too tired. rain tries to stay up just a little longer but fails. rain falls asleep on emz's shoulder. emz wants to sleep, but carries rain home. she slips her through the window, landing her on a comfortable plushie to sleep on.
