I flop face-first onto my bed. I turn my head to view my apartment. it was in terrible shape. there were stains all over the walls and carpet. the kitchen was just a countertop stove with a mini fridge and a sink that made the whole place stink. not to mention that the whole apartment was one room. it was definitely not the most amazing place to stay in but it was mine. my very own home in a new city! I was obviously very optimistic about my new beginning.
I had just got back home from an interview at the Pizza Plex. I applied for the daycare assistant position and got the job on the spot. Probably because no one else applied for the job besides me. I don't really understand why but they said it was because of the daycare attendants. apparently, people kept quitting saying that the attendants were "just too much" but I'm up to the task! plus I love kids!
just the idea of starting my new job tomorrow made me squeal with happiness. but even with how excited I was I fell asleep on my dusty mattress.
my phone alarm rang loudly threw my apartment waking me up instantly. turning off my alarm, I got out of bed and started getting ready for the day. once I was finished I walked out to my car and headed my way to work. the drive wasn't very long due to the pizza plex being only 7 minutes away from my place. when I made it to the parking lot I parked in the daycare assistant's reserved parking spot. parking there made me feel like I was a V.I.P. member. before I exited my car I checked the time. (7:25. Jeez, I have to be clocked in at 7:30. I'm cutting it close for it being my first day.) I opened my door and walked to the entrance of the plex. walking into the place I waved a hand at the front desk people. I eventually made it to the entrance of the daycare and I slowly opened the door. when I did I was immediately blasted with upbeat music and bright colors. walking in was like walking threw my childhood daydreams. it was fantastic!
walking to the main floor of the daycare I was smiling like a child on a sugar rush. opening the door on the main floor I spotted a desk to my left, sat my things there, and logged into the computer. I looked up and realized that the daycare attendants weren't there. "Strange, shouldn't they be out by now?" I say with a whisper. I decided to shout to them "Sundrop! Moondrop! Hello?". suddenly I hear a jingle. I turned and looked around for a moment before I heard something fall into the ball pit. I walk over confused and scan over the colorful plastic balls. suddenly a tall figure jumps out of the ballpit picking me up in a flash.
"HELLO NEW FRIEND!" the figure spoke. I was held into a tight hug by him. "Oh well hello! I assume your sundrop?". he pulls me away. I assumed to see my face before he spoke again "Oh yes yes! I'm sundrop! But you can call me Sun new friend!". with how happy he spoke I couldn't help but smile at him. "Well I'm your new assistant! My name is Y/n. I would shake your hand but...." I giggle a bit. "Oh yes! So sorry y/n" he gently sets me down on my feet. I slightly fix my uniform before speaking again "So where is Moondrop?" I look around questioning. "Oh he's here!" he points to his head and I look at him even more confused than before. he speaks again "I and Moony share the same body! Whenever the lights are on I am here and whenever they are off Moony comes out!" I give an "ohh" (I didn't know that. Why didn't anyone tell me?)
suddenly I was pulled out of my thoughts by a stampede of kids coming through the door

A/N: It's been sooooo long since I have worked on a story and I'm really excited to share this with you all! I plan on trying to make a schedule eventually but right now my life is pretty chaotic but I will get my ducks in a row eventually! and I know the next couple of chapters are short but they will be a lot longer pretty soon I promise!
