Sanity behind closed doors means nothing,
For what is the value?
Heartache to a comforting bed,
The sole admiration of what's gone.
Forgotten In a wave of daily movements,
Only to come forth when the tide settles.
Life is a present long forsaken,
The gravel no longer there,
A pathway of life we know too well.
A song we sang and hummed to as our elders to hymns.
Sacrifice, to the eye of the beholder is just as sweet.
We can relate for our position is obsolete,
We give it our all to which is never enough.
To Sacrifice, is our value valid anymore?
Sacrifice, does it mean the same?
Sacrifice, does it moves the chains?
Sacrifice, will what I do be in vain?
