Just The Two Of Us

Chapter 1: Chemistry

"Man I can't wait for the school year to end. I hate this shit.", Natalie says tiredly. Only 7 weeks left of school remained in the school year and 5 weeks left till finals. Natalie stayed up all night working on her chemistry homework and notes to prepare for next weeks lesson. She has always been the most organized, sane, and mature person to ever walk this earth. Although Nat didn't mind, she was always at the top of her game in her classes.

Every day was the same. Getting up at 5:30 in the morning to do her routine and study before going to school has been her go to for the past 8 years. "Mija, are you ready? I made you some breakfast!", Mr. Muñoz yells. "Sí Pa, I'll be down in a bit!", she responds. It's been her and her dad for years after her mothers passing from breast cancer. Everyday her father wakes up to go to work while managing to take care of his only daughter. "Bye, Mija. Enjoy the food, I'm running late.", he says in a hurry and kisses her forehead. Natalie appreciates everything her father has done the past 14 years and admires his care. Since then it's just been Dad and Nat. 

Nat drives to school. On the way there she makes a pit stop at Starbucks for coffee. Heading to the drive thru, a truck cuts in front of her ordering first. Worried of being late to school, she yells out the window to the person who had cut her. Not being heard, the truck turned their music louder. Furious as she can be, she decides to let it go and proceeds to wait. She finally gets her Starbucks and leaves for school. Nat, about to park in her usual parking spot, its get taken by the truck that previously cut her back at the drive thru. She parks behind the truck and decides to just judge the car and waits to see the person driving. Baggy jeans, grey hoodie, messy hair, and total anime bod takes the sight of Nat's eyes. "Is that Gabe? He looks different...and really tired.", Natalie beginning to slightly worry. Gabe walks out from his truck putting his headphones in both ears and wearing his dark grey Jansport backpack. Noticing Nat staring at him from her car, he flips her off and walks away. Natalie being completely confused on what just happened, she snaps out of it and hurries out of her car to go to first period.

"Okay class, I know summer break is almost here, but please stay on your best behavior.", the chemistry teacher announces. The door opens after 10 minutes into class. "Principal Castillo, to what do I owe the pleasure?", the teacher asks. "I'm looking for a Natalie, Natalie Muñoz?" Please follow me to my office.", she says. Natalie never being called to the principals before, she gets nervous. Walking into the office, she notices a similar person was sitting in the chair of the principals. "Natalie, you'll be tutoring my son Gabriel for his chem final.", the principal says while looking at him.

"What?", she asks confusingly.
