If you told me last year I'd be moving away from my best friends I've known since I was 8 I wouldn't believe you . I can't believe it not only am I leaving I'm leaving with only 3 weeks left of senior year. I'm gonna have no friends.
"Alejandra!" My mom yells. It shocked me "mija I've been saying your name for the past 5 minutes" she says with her very Hispanic accent "sorry mami I was just thinking" I say with a sigh. She replies "Te conozco muy estresada but mija it will be good for you" (I know your very stressed but darling it will be good for you). "Okay well anyways mija were here". "Oh sorry mami". "It's okay mija te amo bye" she says. "Bye mami love you too I'll meet you at the airport tomorrow.".
I go knock on Alicia's front door. Her mom Jules answers the door "Hi Alejandra we missed you" she's says well jesters for me to come inside. I reply "hi Jules I missed you too where's Alicia?". She replies jokingly "oh she's in her room where else". I say "okay" and head up to her room. I walk and jump on her bed. "Okay well I guess we forgot what knocking is" she chuckles. "Sorry I wanna see at least one of my best friends before I leave tmrw" I say jokingly.
Let me explain real quick Alicia and Jordan were my first friends since I moved here in 2nd grade. But Jordan's always hanging out with her bf WHICH IS MY BROTHER but it doesn't bother me to much I mean I get why she is hanging out with him today it's the last day he's in town. Until we visit plus I see her like everyday since she hangs out with him all the time. Alicia ask if we wanna on our last sunset drive together. I obv say "ofc". So she starts her car and we head out to more of the deserty part of Austin tx. And we take a photo as the sun sets. I tell her "make sure to send that to me" she says "alright" .
Then we go grab a quick bite at water burger and talk about what's it gonna be like when I move. Then we leave cause we finished eating and started bawling. Then we head back to her house and threw on some pajamas. "I literally don't know what I'm gonna do without you" I say to her well we were scrolling on our phone
{time skip to the next day}
Her mom took us to the zoo I don't think she realized we aren't little kids anymore. Then we when we got home we headed for a nap cause we worn out. Then I finally wake up from a nap and realize it's already 9:00. Shoot! our plane leaves at 10:00 and the drive to the airport is an hour!
I wake up Alicia. She look at the time and she realizes that we need to leave like now. We go wake up her mom and we leave. We finally get to the airport luckily the plane got set back like 15 minutes so we got Starbucks cause they had one in the airport and gave each other the biggest hug ever. Her mom got a photo and sent it to me. Then we board our plane. I cry a lot then remember the photos and decide to post them.
