Standing in a bit of silence, I could feel my face heat up with anger. Giving a slight growl, I snap!

"Why didn't you tell us you were here?!" Glaring at Cater with crossed arms.

"Well, it's not like I knew you were here at first." He says, rubbing the back of his neck.

"How couldn't -" I began and then stopped at the feel of Treys hand at my arm.

"Hey, why don't we all sit and let him explain before jumping to conclusions, kay?" He said with calmness.

Taking a deep breath and a heavy sigh, I sit down. Crossed legs and crossed arms... he better have a good explanation, or else I'll take his head.

Cater made his way to the left side of his bed and took a seat across from me and Trey.

"So? How didn't you know we were here?" I asked, somewhat calmly.

"Well, I had my earbuds in with blasting music. I didn't even hear you guys walk in, and i was on the floor cutting and filling my nails till I heard you shouting about Floyd. I took my earbuds out, but I stayed quiet cause I didn't want to make it awkward, then I heard you were going out and got excited, sorry."
Cater said quickly, seeming pretty uncomfortable and worried.

Letting out a sigh, I reply.

"I.. I guess it's fine. You didn't mean to, but next time, you shouldn't blast your music so loudly. That could be dangerous in many ways."
I say, I mean, he didn't do it intentionally, but he still should be scolded for blasting his music, like at least be aware of your surroundings..

"Well, since that's smothed over, whatcha gonna wear for your date?"
Cater asked, flipping from complete worry to intrigued.

"Huh? Uhh, just regular clothes, why?" I reply quickly.

"Eh? That's so boring, plus a bet your mom still picks all your clothes."
He said with a smirk.

"Trey, I can see you!" I say to my friend, holding in a laugh next to me.

"Heh, sorry. It's kinda true, though." He giggled at Cater's remark. My mom does still pick my clothes, though, but it's not like I can't do it myself!

"Arg! Whatever, it's just clothes anyway, as long as I'm dressed appropriately, it'll be fine."
I brushed it off.

"Why don't you let me help pick out an outfit!" Cater exclaimed!

"Huh? Umm, I'm not sure."

Trey gave me a slight elbow to my arm.

"Come on, it'll be fun, won't it?"
He said with a smile.

"I guess I can't criticize if I've never tried." I mumble.

"Alright, you can help me with my outfit, BUT if you make me wear something odd, I won't be taking your advice at all."

"Yes!! Let's go see what you have in your room! We can start there first."

A short walk to my room later, and Caters going through my wardrobe, looking for anything that catches his eye. I take a seat on the couch, and so does Trey.

"What are you guys going to be doing?" Trey asked.

"Oh yeah! Are you guys going clam or seashell hunting? Or swimming?"
Cater added.

"He told me to bring my swimwear, but I don't know how to swim, so swimming is out of the question."

"Does Floyd know that?" Trey seemed worried now.

"I tried to tell him, but he left before I had the chance to, plus I don't think he'd be that reckless to just throw me in the water..."

There was a moment of silence between us three, knowing what it implied.

"Yeah, on second thought, he probably would." I noted.

"Just make sure you tell him before you guys get to the beach."
Trey gave me a pat on the back.

"Unless you wanna come back a cold Goldfishie~" Cater teased.

"Watch your words before you become collared." I barked back.

"Please don't, anyway I think I'm gonna go get some clothes from my room for you to try. I'll be right back. Don't spill any tea without me kay?" And with that Cater left.

"Hey Riddle?"

"Yes?"

"Do you actually like Floyd?" He asked, I could feel my face heat up. He wasn't looking at me, just straight ahead, probably because he knows I'm not used to these conversations.

"I, think? Maybe I'm not sure. He can be very annoying and confusing, but..." Reflecting on my feelings, how do I feel with him?

"I don't like it when he's quiet. At this point, I expect him to show up at least once a day to bother me, so I really don't know. Maybe I do?" I sat there unsure. Do I actually like him or not.

I felt an arm go over my shoulder, pulling me into a sideway hug.

"You don't have to rush if you're unsure. Take your time, okay? Feelings can be very complicated."

"Okay. Thank you, Trey."  I say, genuinely grateful for him. He's like the older brother I never had.

"No problem, but if you need anything, just come to me. Especially if it's about Floyd, he is one heck of a puzzle."

"Hehe, yeah, he is."

My doors flung open, revealing Cater with a mountain of clothes in his arms.

"I wasn't sure what'd fit you, but I'm sure we can find something here." He grinned while me and Trey looked horrified.

* Time skip brought to by Adeuce, Grim, and Yuu riding down the stairs at Ramshackle on mattresses *

I feel utterly defeated. I've tried on so many different outfits, skirts, crop tops, shorts, t-shirts, summer dresses, just how much one person can own. My mom scares me, but Caters introduced a new kind of fear.

"I think I'm happy with this one." I say it's casual and not overly revealing.

"Agreed." Cater and Trey said.

"I was hoping you'd like some of the other ones too. They all looked so nice on you, but you seemed uncomfortable." Cater finished with a sigh.

"It's not that I didn't like them, I'm just not used to them." I admitted.

"That'd make sense well. I'll clean up and head out first. Goodnight, and good luck for tomorrow!" Cater left with a hop in his step.

"Jeez, that was a lot." Trey said, exhausted. Even though he did nothing but watch... I guess that's tiring, too.

"It was." We both turned to one another and laughed a little.

Even though it was tiring, it was a lot fun, oh, but I can just see the fire in my mother's eyes if she ever found out about any of this. Me dating, she'd probably burst a blood vessel saying how I have to marry someone fit for me? Or she'd have to approve of them, I don't think she would except Floyd seeing how messy and careless he is, his mood swings wouldn't help and on top of that he's a guy...

"Time for me to leave too, goodnight, Riddle." Trey snapped me from my thoughts.

"Yes, goodnight." I waved as he left to his room.

Taking a deep breath, I get into bed, I can leave worrying for tomorrow, and now it's time for some shut eye.
