              -February 14 Wednesday-

You and Berlin have been best friends since you guys were in k5, and you 2 have been like 2 peas in a pod since then. Literally NO ONE and NOTHING could tear you guys apart.
                        
-flashback to the day you and the beautiful brown boy with the deep brown eyes became the best of friends- 

              -flashback to k5 recess-

You didn't have many friends growing up especially due to you not looking like societies terrible beauty standards and how cruel kids can be😕.

You'd usually pass by time at recess by drawing under the slide, reading, or just simply watching the other kids play wishing that you could join. But this day was different, as you were drawing under the slide a boy who looked to be about your age with glasses and a faded haircut came running under the slide out of breath as there was sweat dripping down his face. He looked like he was running from something, which he was apparently.

         

    "I need your help getting away from Cindy, Lucy, and Jackie; They keep chasing me around" he panted, he was exhausted from all the running he'd be doing

You looked around confused because the boy you've seen around school but never interacted with was asking for your help. Especially since the little "leader" of this "popular" group Lucy had a lil crush on not so little Berlin.

"Okay, hide behind me" you replied.

You knew that if the girls came under the slide they'd see you and their focus would go towards you instead of the boy with glasses

The girls made their way under the slide as you hid the boy with glasses

"Ew what are you doing here?"

The blonde haired girl with pale skin and blue eyes snapped as she had a disgusted look on her face while her friends laughed.

"What are you doing here at my spot?"

They may have bullied you every chance they had, but you were never scared to stick up for yourself.

"Whatever, have you seen Berlin anywhere?"

Lucy said dismissively as she put her hand on her hip trying to make you see that she was serious.

"No, who's that?"

You  said in confusion as you made sure they couldn't see the boy with glasses even though you put 2 and 2 together to figure out who Berlin was.

She rolled her blue eyes you know the tall boy with glasses?

"OHHHH HIM, yeah no I haven't seen him."

You lied right through your teeth but you didn't care since you didn't like Lucy nor her lil corny crew who thought they were all that and a bag of chips and a 50¢ juice since they came from a rich white family.

'Well if you do see him you let me know."

She snapped trying to scare somebody but automatically failed since you couldn't take someone like her serious.

"Yeah whatever I'll tell you."

They walked away still looking for him as you went to see if they were really gone.

"Okay they're gone, you can come out now."

You whispered as Berlin made his way from behind you wiping his forehead while exhaling in relief

"Thank you for saving my life."

You continued to draw as you didn't look up
From your drawing as you responded.

"Your welcome."

"I'm Berlin, what's your name?"

You looked up in disbelief since no one really interacted with you nor did they care to ask what your name was.

"I-im y/n."

He put his hand out to shake yours, you could tell he was raised right.

"Well it's nice to meet you y/n, your name is very pretty" 

He stated with a big gummy smile that made you smile as you shook his hand.

"Thank you Berlin, it's nice to meet you too."

"Wanna be friends?"

He announced which made your heart skip a beat and your eyes widened as you blushed a bit and smiled really big.
You finally made a friend! It's looks like your parents were right, you would make new friends.

"Sure!"

You and your new friend spent the rest of recess together gossiping about Lucy and her crew while you guys drew until it was time to go back to class.

So how'd I do y'all?😭 I've typed 744 words so far so I'm gonna just split this little imagine story in 2 parts but I'll have it out quickly don't worry<3
