Kacy got on the bus with her boyfriend Mike and his friend Harry. They were with Tania and Patricia who as Mike explained it, "Had to tag along."
Tania and Patricia thought the circles that marked thirds of the bus and spun when the bus moved were hilarious, and they stood on either side of the one near the back, tripping and almost falling while laughing until they choked. Kacy, wanting nothing to do with them, immediately walked to the front of the bus and saved a seat for Mike next to her with her sweater while he went to the ticket machine in the middle of the bus.
Kacy watched in disgust as Harry sat at the back of the bus and laughed with Tania and Patricia. She glanced at the doors closing and the bus went to the next stop.
Seven stops later, Mike was still having trouble at the ticket machine and there was a long line of others impatiently waiting. An old lady asked Kacy if she could sit next to Kacy and Kacy moved her sweater. She decided that when Mike came she would get up and offer the seat to him. The bus got more and more crowded as Kacy saw an asian couple with a baby in a stroller get on.
