Ch.7

Harry decided to organize a trip to the park that he and Peter met, it would be an unofficial party of sorts and it would be a normal way to celebrate. Harry could cook up some picnic foods and just spend the nice summer day outside. Despite him being forced in the past to do all of the gardening for the Dursleys, Harry enjoyed gardening as it was a way to escape all of his relatives without Dudleys gang chasing him. He sent out a text 3 days in advance so they have sometime to prepare. Harry meanwhile was mentally organizing a shopping list of all the things he needs to prepare. Maybe he could craft a Ms. Weasly classic and make some fudge. When he got the reply that both Ned and Peter can come, Harry got to work on all of the sweet and picnic foods he must bring. A quick search online for what was appropriate was organized and food were quickly prepared.

When the day arrived, Harry was sipping on a 2nd cup of coffee from staying up all night this was due to the tradition of staying up until 12 and getting not even an hours sleep before a nightmare woke him up. This one was particularly horrible as it was of the Dursleys and aunt Petunia screeching in the background. When it was the afternoon, Harry took all of the prepared food and bragged a picnic blanket he bought just for this occasion. Walking to the park he could see that Peter and Ned were already there. Hurrying up, Harry waved to them before placing the blanket out beside a tree for the shade and laying out the multiple sandwiches and other food he has made for this day.

Peter and Ned wished him a happy birthday before giving him presents, Harry not expecting any gleefully took them and unwrapped them. From Ned he received a hobbit inspired notebook covered in stickers of magic wands, hats and spells tucked inside so Harry could stick them on whatever he wanted. While from Peter Harry received a dark red oversized cardigan with a gold trim in the edges and pockets. Feeling touched he hugged his friends, sat down and chatted for hours.

By the time it was time to go home, there were only crumbs on the blanket and the sun was setting. Peter and Ned had to head home since their guardians needed them at a specific time back. Harry waved bye and slumped against the tree watching how the sun was slowly setting.  He stared out and watched the sun set until well after dark. After the sunset he  packed up the blanket and binned the trash. On the way to his apartment he pondered over the fact that he has such good friends.

Peter was happy when Harry texted if he wanted to go to his birthday meet up in the park but was disappointed he only had 3 days to prepare a gift for him. A quick rush to the mall with Uncle Ben, he saw the cardigan and immediately thought that Harry would enjoy it since it was long sleeved, had the color he always wears and seemed to be really comfy. Happy with the purchase he went back home and packed it up. Texting with Ned, they agreed to meet up and get there together.

When the time came and he and Ned got there and saw Harry arriving alone without any adult. Slightly frowning over the lack of supervision he observed from the time he met Harry, he and Ned waved to Harry and Harry waved back. Harry spread out the blanket beside a tree and they gave him presents. Time passed quickly as they ate delicious food and chatted on their usual topics of science, magic and the avengers. When he and Ned needed to get home (Aunt May was getting home early from her shift and needed some help in preparing dinner), they stayed for a bit to see that Harry was just... sitting there?

While Ned needed to get home, Peter could spare a few minutes to see if someone was collecting him. He did mention he was living with a Aunt after all. After an hour has passed and Peter was definitely late, Harry got up and went home alone after cleaning everything up. Slightly shocked, Peter walked home thinking about every interaction that he has of Harry and his Aunt and can't think of a single moment he has of Harry even mentioning her. Peter adored May and Ben and could often ramble about them or at least reference them on a daily basis but he hasn't heard a single mention form him about his supposed aunt without any prompting from Peter.

Even while May was chastising him for being late, Peter was determined to find out about what was going on with Harry as the eye bags, missing aunt and lack of past greatly concerned him about his friend. Deciding to keep this conviction to himself for now, he texted Harry if he got home safe. After receiving a confirmation, Peter happily went to the kitchen to help Aunt May in her failing attempt at making chicken.
