The sound of the piano resonating in her ears.
It never failed to haunt her all over again.
"Alice!" Hans calls out as he shielded her with his body, protecting her from the truck.
Her vision blurs, her ears fell deaf to everything, only hearing the sound of her brother's voice.
"H-Ha-Hans.." Was the only thing her mouth spoke, tears running down her face.
"A-Alice..I'm g-glad your o-okay.." He smiled weakly, her eyes darkened in fear.
"Ha-Hans..?" She choked. "H-Hans.." Her small hands gently shook his bloody body. "H-Hans?!" Her voice rose as her tears continued to stream down her face, making her vision even worse.
'Don't leave me..'
'I want to forget everything..' She loses consciousness, and she could hear the murmurs.
"Someone call an ambulance!"
"Poor little girl, she must have gotten through alot.."
'I wish they would just stop..'
"Doctor, the boy is losing his pulse!"
"Keep him alive, as for the little girl, support her heart."
"Please keep Alice and Hans alive!"
'Hans? Alice? Who are those people?'
'Do I know them?'
She stops playing the piano, her breath has gone heavy, as her fingers trembled.
"Stop it." She mutters as she grabs her toy cat, which she named 'Deemo', in honor of her brother.
She leaps off the chair and walks to the library. As she arrives, she sees a pile of books stocked like a mountain.
"Silly Onii-chan.." She shakes her head as she grabs the thin brownbook with was with Hans' name engraved at the bottom of the cover, she still remembered Deemo's bad habit, he never returned the books in the shelves and the masked lady would scold him.
My Compositions
She flipped from the first page, finding a few songs that her brother composed.
There were many compositions, she wanted to try out a few, but then she found a small note at the end of the journal.
'These compositions are dedicated to my little sister, Alice.
One day, I'll teach her how to play the piano, and we'll play lots and lots of pieces together! I want to share to her the joys of learning something new, then I would be really proud of myself for the brother she could ever wish for! -Hans '
Her heart was containing mixed emotions. She wanted to cry, but at the same time, she wanted to just hug it close to her. She doesn't know if she should be happy or devastated.
"Nii.." Tears streamed down once more, before someone opened the door.
"Alice-sama, you're parents are calling you." A maid speaks up, as Alice nods, wiping away her tears.
