And finally, after Pestilence, follows Death. Death is no brute as the others are, but he is a collector. He merely comes to harvest and patch up whatever the other three left behind. He does not do this out of sympathy, but out of a sense of duty. If it weren't for him, the others would crumble for they do not know how to deal with the secrets of life and whatever lies beyond. Nothing fuels him nor satisfies him in his line of work, unlike the others. He knows how it feels to die on the inside and on the outside, so as the Shepard, he shall lead his newly found flock to the Afterlife out of mere respect. He shall safeguard the souls and spirits of the forgotten no matter what the ante is, even if it means slaying his own kin. For each Rider has their own task that balances out with the cycle of life and the other Rider's task as well. So the Horsemen shall trek on with their steads by their sides repeat the cycle of the Apocalypse on anything that lies in their campaign. (My envisions of the Riders' horses... War-Conquest, Famine-Dust, Pestilence-Pity, Death-Despair.)
