Comfort and Care (Teen! Wu & Teen! Garmadon)

(A/N: this will be a little bit long because it'll start with Wu comforting Garmadon, then Garmadon comforting Wu. In my au, the two are twins, Garmadon being the older twin)

Today was when the venom in Garmadon stopped causing him pain after pulsing through his veins for an entire month.

Garmadon laid on the floor of his bedroom, tired, hungry, and relieved. Despite the obvious exhaustion within himself, the brunette pushed himself up and stood, trying to steady himself against the wall. He slowly walked to Wu's room, cracking the door open and peeking in to see if his brother was in there.

Wu was laying on his bed reading, using the sunlight coming from his window to see the pages. Yes, even though Wu really didn't like reading all that much, there was nothing else to do. Though he seemed to hear the door open and looked over.

"Brother? Is that you?" The blonde asked, sitting up from the position he was in. Garmadon didn't answer, but opened the door more to confirm that it was him. The older twin walked into the room and shut the door, before plopping onto the bed with a tired groan.

Wu shut the book and set it aside, knowing the other needed his comfort. He scooted closer to Garmadon and ran his fingers through the brown locks, Garmadon immediately becoming less tense from the comforting touch.

Garmadon wanted to sleep but he was also hungry, so he turned over to face his brother. Wu let out a soft chuckle."want me to make you food, Garm?" He asked, looking down at Garmadon.

Garmadon nodded, and moved off of Wu so the blonde could get up. He watched as his brother left the room and went to the kitchen to make Dumplings, which was Garmadon's favorite.

Half an hour passed before Wu returned with a bowl of steaming hot dumplings, as well as chopsticks to eat them with. Garmadon sat up completely, feeling a bit more better. He thanked Wu and took the bowl, letting the dumplings cool before eating.

Wu softly smiled, glad that his brother felt more better now. "Do you want to sleep inside, or do you want to specifically nap out on the front porch? Since I know the breeze will help you sleep" he asked Garmadon.

"Uhm... Maybe I'll nap outside this time... It's been a while since I've gone out at all anyways..." Garmadon spoke, tiredness obvious within his voice. He finished the dumplings after a while because he ate more slowly. Wu went and put the empty bowl in the sink, planning to wash it later.

He reached a hand out to his brother, the brunette taking it and letting himself be pulled up onto his feet. The two walked out to the front of the house, a nice cool breeze blowing across the warm, sunny landscape. Wu had already laid out a pillow and mat for Garmadon, so the other was more comfortable while asleep.

Wu sat down on the edge of the front porch, while Garmadon laid on the mat, finally feeling he could now sleep since he has a full stomach now. Though he didn't really feel as comfortable yet, so Garmadon moved the pillow and scooted up, laying his head on Wu's leg.

This surprised the blonde a little, but he then smiled, running his fingers through Garmadon's hair, the other immediately relaxing again.

"Feeling better, Garm?" Wu asked, looking down at Garmadon with his honey colored eyes. Garmadon looked up at Wu and softly smiled."yeah...thanks" he said before slowly falling asleep, feeling the nice breeze go over him.

He finally felt calm and safe again.

(TW: Blood, cuts and other injuries)

Garmadon was waiting for Wu to return home. Wu had gone to talk with Aspheera about something important, not that Garmadon knew what it was.

Eventually Wu came in through the door but he was panicked and.... badly injured. He was covered in cuts, bruises and scratches, parts of his shirt were torn, and he was shaking and mumbling as tears ran down his cheeks

Garmadon felt his protective instincts go into overdrive and immediately rushed over to Wu, gently picking him up and carrying him to the bathroom. Wu, while still in pain, clinged to his brother as if his life literally depended on it, afraid that the Anacondrai that attacked him would appear again if he did let go.

Garmadon gently set Wu down on the bathroom floor, maybe not very comfortable but it'll have to do for now. He removed what was left of his brother's shirt and tended to the more larger wounds first, letting the other clingy to him.

Wu's shaking didn't stop, but managed to calm down a little. He leaned against Garmadon's shoulder, still gripping onto Garmadon's black shirt. After the major wounds were bandaged properly, along with some of the cuts, Garmadon gently wrapped his arms around the other in a comforting hug and doing a slow rocking motion, trying to calm the younger twin more.

"Shhh.....I'm here Wu, you're safe now..." Garmadon spoke in a gentle tone, stroking Wu's pale blonde hair that was a bit more ruffled up from earlier. Wu let out broken sobs, speaking weakly."P-please don't let go..." He clinged tighter to the other male.

Garmadon felt his heart break from how scared Wu sounded. "I won't, and Don't worry, I'll take care of you" Garmadon said as he lightly rested his head on top of Wu's. Wu closed his eyes, his scared whimpers starting to be less frequent. He let out a few sniffles, the bruises on his body starting slowly go away due to having a self healing ability from being half Oni.

"Wu... You don't have to explain what happened, I can tell just by what those Anacondrai did to you..." Garmadon spoke, a slight growl in his voice as he held his brother protectively. Wu leaned into Garmadon's embrace more, finally feeling safe enough to relax.

"Here, let's get you to your room since I'm done patching you up" Garmadon's voice returned to a more gentle tone again as he lifted Wu up and transported him from the bathroom to the bedroom next to it. He lifted the blanket with one hand and used his whole other arm to carefully set the injured teen down onto the comfortable bed, then placing the blanket over him.

The older twin used his thumb to wipe away the streaking tears of the younger, giving Wu a gentle kiss on the forehead. Garmadon was about to sit down by the bed, till he noticed Wu looking up at him. The teen let out a soft chuckle and went around to the other side of the bed then layed down.

Wu moved closer, though slowly due to the pain. He laid his head on Garmadon's stomach, curling up more. Wu closed eyes again, feeling the other's hand run through his hair.

Garmadon meanwhile felt guilty that he wasn't there to protect Wu, and could've saved him from getting badly hurt, but even then, if Garmadon got hurt then Wu would completely freak out, and so he'd still have to comfort his brother.

He let out a sigh and looked at Wu again, the other had fallen asleep. Garmadon quietly promised himself to not leave Wu's side as the blonde teen recovered, no matter what.

The two brothers laid in silence as the sun had start to set, giving way to the darkness of night. Garmadon himself had fallen asleep a while after Wu did, after making sure the other wasn't having any possible nightmares while asleep.

Garmadon had always cared, and so did Wu, even if one's care wasn't as easy to see as the other's...
