Just a little pride month special with our girl Jenny and her attempts to gain Y/ns attention!
.
.SIGHING Jenny's smile fell as soon as she departed from her date. It was the fourth date this month and she was starting to feel hopeless, not a single girl and her clicked and it was very obvious none would compare to the only girl that's been floating in her mind for years now.
Walking down the sidewalk in the cool late evening air, her mind plagued with possible outcomes on her next date that she has in a week. Her heart shallow and her thoughts deep Why can't I find someone? Hearing her phone chime she slowly and reluctantly reached into her coat pocket her heart jumping at the contact name.
Miss Y/n ♡
Quickly she accepted with a nervous smile "Miss Y/n! Did something go wrong at the company?" Hearing a faint chuckle that made her insides flutter Jenny hoped it was for another reason "No need Jenny, I was just calling to ask how the date went? I remember you told me you had one today. And no need for the Miss, we've been friends for years and its no longer business hours" The sweet voice of her boss answered.
Standing straighter Jenny awkwardly ran her fingers along the back of her neck and into her hair "Oh uh, it's went alright? We just didn't really click" quietly she responded in embarrassment "Ah. I'm sorry to hear that, I'm sure you'll find someone you're an amazing person!" The words of encouragement made a smile warm on her face.
"Thank you. There is this girl I've liked for awhile now actually" she confessed "That's great! You should try and tell her how you feel when you're ready- Yes Nanami I'll be right there! Sorry I have to go, Nanami needs me. I'll talk to you tommorow at work" Her boss finished in a rushed explanation making Jenny mood sadden once more "Oh. Alright! I'll see you tomorrow, Bye!" She exclaimed trying not to let the sadness in her voice noticeable.
"Goodbye Jenny"
Jenny waited for the call to end before sighing and placing it back in her coat pocket "She's married already, I need to give up."
