The day of the wedding, Blitzø barely spoke to anyone, and dragged his tail on the ground wherever he walked. Now, we stood in front of the full length mirror in his room and adjusted his tie. He was wearing a navy blue suit jacket, with matching bell-bottom pants. Underneath, he wore a white button down. His tie was bright red, with a tear in the fabric, but he didn't care. He put on his skull brooch, and cat-eye eyeliner. He wasn't sure why he'd bothered dressing up, but it didn't matter now.
"You ready to go Da- Blitzø?" Loona cleared her throat.
"Ya. You look nice," he observed, grinning. The hellhound was wearing a short black dress and shiny red high heels. She had her hair up in a bun, and had gone with a more natural make-up choice.
"Thanks," she gave him a lopsided smile, and they linked arms as they walked out of their apartment. The gang got out of the car and followed the buzzing crowd into the palace. They found their seats and whispered amongst themselves. The wedding was being held in the ballroom of Stolas's palace. At least a thousand demons were seated in the white chairs. A white carpet was rolled down the aisle between them, and a little platform with a white rose covered arch was at the front of the room. An old priest was standing with his book, clearing his throat. On his left were a bunch of giggling bridesmaids, and on his right were the groom and his best man. Stolas's fiance was a tall, feline demon with a long tail and yellow fur. He was grinning, and his sharp canine teeth gave the illusion that they were glowing in the light. He looked menacing, and Blitzø wondered if Stolas had a type.
The flower-kid was a little brown owlette, and Blitø instinctively scanned the crowd for Octavia, but she wasn't in the room. Next came the ring barer, then a familiar song came on, and everyone stood. Blitzø watched as Stolas walked down the aisle, his father at his side. He was wearing a long flowing white wedding gown, with encrusted diamond and a long train that trailed on the ground after him. The veil covered his face, so Blitzø couldn't tell if he was happy underneath it. He stepped up to the altar, and his fiance lifted the veil off his face. The prince was smiling, but there was a deep sadness in his eyes.
Everyone sat down as the priest started his speech. Both men said their vows, but Stolas had a strange expression on his face.
"Krager, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." Krager purred softly.
"Stolas, do you accept this man as your husband?" The crowd waited on baited breath.
"I... I don't." he sighed. Everyone in the room gasped collectively, and Krager growled softly.
"What are you doing Stolas?" he asked, anger seeping into his voice.
"I'm sorry Krager, but I just can't." the owl desperately tried to explain.
"Ok, but do we have to do this now? In front of everyone?" The demon was getting angrier now, the fur on the back of his neck standing up and his eyes gleaming red.
"Yes, we do." Stolas turned to address the crowd.
"I'm so sorry to those who came to see a happy white wedding, but I will not marry this man today, because I love someone else," he admitted. The crowd was in awestruck silence, their eyes flicking between Krager and Stolas. The owl met Blitzø's eyes in the audience, silently asking permission. Blitzø wasn't sure why, but he nodded.
"Because I'm in love with him, my darling Blitzø." Stolas smiled warmly. Every single eyeball in the room snapped to Blitzø, who was blushing.
"Go on, give them a show." Millie winked at him. He stood and cleared his throat, adjusting his tie.
"I..." fear built up in his chest, and he could hear his heart pounding in his ear.
"I... I love... you... too!" he spat, blushing. "Man that felt weird." he mumbled. The whole audience erupted in cheers and awws. Blitzø felt his fear return, and his stomach did a backflip. He began to sweat as the crowd looked at him expectantly. Thankfully, the spotlight was quickly taken off him when Krager let out an angry roar and glared at him.
"I'll get you for this one day, Imp..." he hissed, turning and running out of the ballroom. Everyone stared after him in shock for a minute, then the priest cleared his throat again.
"Why should we waste a perfectly good wedding? Get up here Litz." the little old man grinned.
"Blitzø. And, excuse me?" He raised an eyebrow. Stolas strided down the aisle toward him, a hopeful smile on his face. The crowd parted like the red sea as he lowered himself onto one knee before Blitzø, trying his best to not rip his dress. At this point, the imp was paralyzed with fear and shock. He always loved being the center of attention, but not like this.
"Blitzy, my darling, will you make me the happiest demon alive and marry me right now?" He asked quietly. And for a moment, Blitzø forgot all about everyone else In the room, and all he saw was the man He loved, looking up at him with big, adorable puppy dog eyes.
"Fine..." he grumbled, and Stolas erupted into a grin. He grabbed Blitzø and yanked him down the aisle, brushing dirt off his shoulder."Alright, let's get this ball rolling again, shall we? Stolas, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." Stolas said it with no hesitation, taking Blitzø's hands into his. They stared into each other's eyes, Both of them tearing up a bit.
"And Blitzø, do you take Stolas to be your husband?"
"I do." And he meant it. He did want to marry Stolas. The ring bearer handed them each a ring and they slipped them on each other's fingers.
"You may now kiss the bride." The priest smiled. The crowd burst into applause as Stolas picked up his husband and kissed him sweetly, pulling away and leaning their foreheads together."You want a piggyback?" The owl asked.
"I forgot how stupid you are. Of course I do my husband." Blitzø liked the way that sounded. He had a husband. He was married to Stolas. Reality hit him like a sack of bricks, and more tears came to his eyes. Stolas hoisted him onto his shoulders and carried him up the aisle as the crowd showered them with rice and flower petals. They left the palace, and Blitzø's eyes widened when he saw the majestic white stallion out front.
"Whoa." His eyes lit up, and Stolas chuckled.
"He's going to take us to our honeymoon destination." Stolas explained.
"Honeymoon?" The imp scrunched up his face.
"We're hot and rich, of course we're having a honeymoon." He giggled. Blitzø noticed how he said we're, instead of me. Of course he would. They were married now. There wasn't a you and me anymore, there was just us. He blushed as Stolas put him on the horse and sat in front of him. The imp wrapped his arms around his husband's waist and leaned his head against his shoulder. As they started riding away, he waved to Moxxie.
"You're In charge while I'm gone! Don't fuck it up!" He called.
"Of course sir, have fun on your honeymoon."
The I.M.P employees all smiled as they watched their boss ride off into the sunset, a grin on his face.We all love a gay wedding.
Have a good day :)
