1•RenGiyuu- speak up

"Tomioka-san! What a wonderful day it is!"
Giyuu twitches, a familiar hand presses down on his shoulder. Turning around his eyes are assaulted with a mix of reds and oranges, along with a blindingly bright smile.
"Hello, Rengoku." Rengoku's smile doesn't waver at the dull tone
Without fail, at the end of every hashira meeting, Rengoku will attempt to make conversation the younger. While Giyuu does appreciate the attempts he is far from blessed socially. Therefore, he quite literally has nothing else to say.
"I see your last mission went well, how splendid!" Giyuu blanches.
"Yes."
"..."
"..."
The raven feels apart of his soul die at the awkwardness of the situation. An annoyed groan echos through the air
"I wouldn't bother trying to talk to the weirdo." Iguro grunts, passing the two of them
"Nonsense Tomioka is valued part of the core!" Giyuu tenses, as much as he'd like to think Rengoku is doing this out of the kindness of his heart, he knows that this is only a formality. Rengoku's default state with his fellow hashira. He turns on his heel ,while the other banters with the snake hashira, and heads back to the water estate.

The place is as barren as usual, Giyuu notes a cobweb in the corner. The only highlight of the estate is the garden that he's goes through extra trouble to keep healthy. He slides the door to the garden open in one smooth motion. Wisteria dangles from the door way, he notices it's wilting a bit around the edges, he really needs to care for it more. A small part of him whispers that he should take care of himself more.
"You are correct you should take care of yourself more!" Giyuu whirls around fully prepared to fight, instead he finds the flame hashira staring at him. It also occurs to him that he was most definitely speaking aloud.
"You suddenly left the master's mansion so I figured I would find you here!" The blonde smiles at him
"Did you... break into my house?" Giyuu murmurs.
"What was that, Tomioka-san?"
The raven flushes a bit
"Nothing." He turns to look back at his garden, but two hands on his shoulder hold him in place.
"It's quite alright if you are feeling shy, do not feel ashamed to say what it was into my ear!" Rengoku is suddenly way too close for comfort. Giyuu feels his face heat, cheek's tingling.
He places the side of his face parallel with Giyuu's face, noticeably bending down to do so. The raven can hear every breath the taller takes, he can smell the soft scent radiating from Rengoku. Almost overly pleasant, warm and reminiscent of cinnamon. Giyuu feels heat pool in the gut; an almost non existent whimper slips past his lips.
He feels the hands on his shoulders tense, Rengoku pulls back, looking him directly in the eyes. He watches as several expressions shift through the blondes face, his eyes scanning over the raven's features.
"You're very red Tomioka-san..." Giyuu curls in on himself at the softer tone of voice, gravelly and husky, it feels like the taller is caressing him with his voice. Rengoku leans in closer, his breath whispers across Giyuu's lips.
"I do enjoy your presence, I wish you would speak more, your voice... it makes me-"
A sliding door opening has Giyuu flinching so hard he almost falls through the shoji paper of the garden doors.
"Tomioka-san, I saw Rengoku-san head over here so figured I'd join you two before you bore him to death!" A singsong voice calls through the rather empty house.Giyuu pales and Rengoku lets go of his shoulders with an awkward chuckle, allowing the raven to steady himself.
Shinobu slides into the room as gracefully as ever, she smiles coyly at the two.
"Hello, I'm surprised you aren't a skeleton yet Rengoku-san!" The blonde huffs a laugh
"I find Tomioka-san is nice company!" Giyuu feels himself flush.
"Oh, well I suppose opinion's vary, truthfully I came here because the master requested your presence Rengoku-san." She smiles at him.
"I see, well I will head over there at once!"
In a flash he's gone, leaving the two hashira behind. Shinobu giggles and Giyuu feels a chill run down his spine.
"I never knew he had such a soft spot for you!"
"He doesn't." Shinobu snickers.
"You're right, it's definitely more of a hard spot!" Giyuu feels his souls leave his body.
