The city went for miles before him, his cold, calculating eyes scanning it throughout. He knelt on the edge of the tallest building in the city. He sighed deeply now. "I hate to admit it," he muttered, looking back out to the city. "But for once, I actually miss Max." Fang stood back up and took a couple of steps back, his long black hair falling into his face.
He broke into a sprint and then leaped off the building, diving toward the ground. The world raced around him and then, black wings shot from his back, catching air and lifting him into the air. The Fallen Angel, Fang, was here. Why was he here? Because there had been a recent emergence of demonic-like attacks, one that required his attention.
This war was never-ending, and even if Fang wasn't of his angelic grace anymore, he was still going to take this fight head first. The angels were too scared to do anything, and the people of this world meant too much to him for him to sit back idly. Fang kept himself upright in the air now as he looked around the city once more. But his mouth parted open slightly, and he turned his head. One of the churches to his mother had just erupted in flames. He scoffed, naturally they would attack there. With one massive flap from his wings, Fang launched himself through the air now. He fought this war for years already and would continue doing so until it was won.
On another tall building in the city, Hurcia had been taking a nap on the roof when she heard the church burst to flame, she sat up and sighed. The sound of burning wood was too familiar to her. 'Of course, they would burn that one. I almost like it too.' She thought, standing up and stretching, her wings folded at her back. He stepped to the edge of the building, watching the sky. So much had happened in the last few days and she had gone back to hunting demons, causing them as much pain as she could as she did so. It was time to find the assholes who were burning churches again. She stepped directly off the building, falling foot first. Maybe fifteen feet from the ground, she snapped her wings out, and shifted, parallel to the ground, flying in the direction of the church.
Fang came to a screeching halt, and landed swiftly in front of the church as he tucked his wings behind his back. He looked up at the flames and looked around, a demon had to be nearby to cause this, right? He looked to either side, then back to the church. There were people still in there, Fang had to go. He took a step towards the building, but then arms draped around his neck. "You missed me~"
Fang turned around and struck the demon, only for his hand to pass through mist. She jumped back a couple of feet, putting her hands behind her body. She wore a schoolgirl uniform, the telltale sign of red horns protruding from the top of her head. She stuck her tongue out in an attempt to taunt Fang. The angel grit his teeth and made a move toward her, but stopped when she held her hand out. "Nuh-uh! If you attack me, everyone in there will die!" She pointed back to the church, where the flames ramped up again.
Hurcia saw the flames get more rampant, she sped up, that demon was certainly still nearby. Within moments she was over the church, those black wings ever so familiar. 'Fang, why do you always ruin my fun.' She thought as she snapped her wings behind her, falling, almost gracefully, to the ground, landing behind the demon. "Why hello there, you wouldn't mind greeting my friend would you?" she said as she materialized her signature three-headed spear. A mischievous smirk started forming on her face.
"Huh?" The demon reacted, her mouth parted slightly as another Angel landed behind her. "Oh, that's interesting," she said quietly, turning around. "A friend? They don't seem very friendly," the demon frowned, tilting her head at the spear.
"Hurcia..." Fang said softly, huffing. He didn't exactly have time for this, he turned back to the church. Hurcia would handle the demon, Fang had to focus on saving the people. He bent down into a stance, then broke into a sprint towards the burning church, and soon, Fang disappeared into the smoke.
