Two drones walked through the abandoned town, one was female and the other was male. The feminine drone wore a dark-colored v-neck shirt that was kept together by a few buttons from top to bottom. Her neck was accessorized by a pearl necklace with a small tag hanging by a small metal ring attached to the string between two of the pearls. Her hair was neatly out of her face in a low ponytail which was loosely kept by a small rubber band. Her waist was covered by a long skirt only a few inches above the ground. She held a small undeveloped drone, a baby who was barely a few months old. The masculine drone wore a plaid trapper hat that was colored gray and black on the top of his head. He also wore a jacket that was zipped halfway up which allowed the neck of the jacket to fold down resembling the collar on a shirt. The jacket was just long enough to cover his lower waist removing the need for any pants. He, on the other hand, held a large box that was filled with stuff like metal boards, screws, batteries, and other stuff used for machinery.

"Hey, I think we managed to get enough of the materials for the new machine we're working on." The male drone said. His female companion however seemed distracted by something and wasn't paying attention, he seemed to take notice of this. "Hun." He called out, she flinched slightly and turned her attention to the male drone. "Huh? Oh sorry.." She apologized, looking very guilty for not hearing the other, he just nodded before speaking again. "It's fine, I was just talking about how we can finally finish the machine we were working on with the amount of materials we gathered this night." He explained, she listened as he spoke still looking around the area. The area was decorated with many abandoned and rusty warehouses. There was also a small assortment of factories here and there.

The two drones walked through the icy streets, the place was dimly lit by some flickering street lights that illuminated their path. But as they neared the front door of their colony the sound of metallic wingbeats could be heard. The female drone quickly turned around to see what could've made the sound, the possibility of a murder drone attack filling her with fear. Her male companion however was oblivious to the situation and tried to swipe his card against the reader but it was hard because the reader never got a good read no matter how fast or how slow he swiped. The situation was quite infuriating and annoying to him. "I may have to get a new card if the scanner can't read it..." He muttered. Despite his need for concentration the female drone told him to hurry up and open the door. "I can't exactly concentrate when you're-" He was cut off by a large drone crashing into the ground between them. The male drone barely got a chance to turn around and assess the situation before his head was quickly ripped off his body letting oil spew freely from his neck. The murder drone consumed the oil from the decapitated head leaving the male drone's female companion to watch in horror as the scene unfolded.

She quickly accepted fate and hid her child in a conveniently placed bush. The shrubbery was dying and had no leaves but it served as a great cover for the small pill-shaped baby. The mother's body was quickly grabbed by the murder drone and her body was ripped and her internal oil was consumed. Then, as quickly as the drone came, it left. Leaving the remains of the two drones there and the baby alone. The soft cries of the child caught the attention of the murder drone. Slowly it moved towards the dead bush before a voice cut through the quiet area, holding dominance in its tone. "Move it, moron, we got enough bodies!" The voice said, the murder drone sighed and yelled a 'yes ma'am' in response to her command. The murder drone flew away leaving the baby all by itself.

What one can assume was a few hours later the doors opened and one of the WDF drones looked outside, the sounds of his friends asking him what was going on could be heard from behind him. The drone had a brown mustache covering where one can pretend a nose should be. His head was covered by a light gray helmet that the light inside of the base reflected off of. His body was covered by a lightly colored parka that was zipped about 3/4 up.

The drone looked around before the sound of a child crying filled his sensors. He made his way to the source of the noise before looking at the baby in shock. "Who would leave a newborn baby out in the snow at night!?" He picked up the child and scanned the area for anything that could harm either of them. Then he saw the bodies of the baby's parents. "Oh my, must've been a murder drone attack... better get back inside before I end up like them." He said before scanning his card and entering through the large doors.

"Makarov, come back over here! We stopped playing because you decided to check outside. Whose baby is that??" One of the worker drones asked. The drone, Makarov, looked toward the baby, "Oh, I found this poor thing outside. Her parents were mauled by a murder drone. But I have no idea what to do with her." He explained, the other worker drones, who had sat around a table holding cards, nodded. One drone who looked down at his cards spoke up, "Maybe you could give it to the murder drones as a sacrifice." The other drones looked at the worker drone in either disgust or horror. Then another drone spoke up, "Despite the fact I don't know your name, I've always known you were insane. Wait why is he a part of the WDF??" He asked, looking around as the other drones shrugged their shoulders. "Anyway, I'd say you should take the baby in and raise her as your own." The drone explained the others nodded in agreement at his statement. Makarov sighed before agreeing with what the drone was saying, "I guess you're right. Sorry boys but I gotta get back to my quarters." The other drones made noises of disappointment before saying quick 'goodbyes' and then returning to their card game.

Makarov returned to his quarters before letting out a tired sigh, "Guess I'm a father now." He said, before looking back at the baby and smiling softly. "Promise I'll be a good one." He said the baby giggled at him and he placed the child in a small cot that he conveniently had.
