First Person's POV
I saw nothing but darkness, it was comforting in a way but I don't remember how I got here, how long I have been here, who I am and other necessary things like that. I just sighed or I think I did, I don't know if I even have a physical form in this place, I feel like I'm a ghost, but without any resentment that ghosts usually have, sigh, so confusing. Looking in the distance, I saw a light, it was radiating warmth, the sort that comes from the sun when you are outside enjoying nature's company and it felt comforting, in the same way the darkness did. I reached out towards the light with my right hand, I think I do indeed still have a hand. I touched the light and it spread out around me and blinded me momentarily. I felt my shut eyelids, so I opened my eyes but then immediately shut them back again, it was because of the strong sunlight, which I assumed was coming from the nearest window(s). Blinking my eyes open slowly, I adjusted to the light and looked around myself to take in my surroundings. I was in a room, a bedroom. It looked simple with only the walls being decorated with several paintings that looked very familiar but I couldn't point out why they looked familiar. I was laying in a bed and above me, above the head of the bed, was a window where the sunlight was coming from, it was around 9:00 AM as per the sun's position in the sky and the amount of sunlight present in the sky. Looking at my right side, I saw a bookshelf lined up against the wall filled with quite a lot of scrolls. Looking forward, there was a door right in front of the bed, which I assumed led to the outside. On the left side was another door, which led to the bathroom in the room or perhaps the closet, I wasn't sure about that one. I sit up and immediately I feel my back give out a crack and I wince at the sound. Aside from that crack, I felt pain in my back as if I were whipped or something. I slowly stretch out my arms and legs to get rid of the pain and ache in all of my muscles. Looking up, my head starts to ache. I clutch my forehead due to the pain. Ugh, it hurts........ Wait......?! I remember who I am now!! And this isn't my room!!My name is Hua Ying Courtesy Juhua, The First and only Daughter of the Sect Leader of the Hua Sect and The Youngest Shizun of the Cang Qiong Mountain Sect, The Master of the Qing Jing Peak and The Successor of The Previous Peak Lord, Shen QingQiu, he was my master who took me in when I went to Cang Qiong Mountain to learn cultivation and the one who taught me how to cultivate since I was young. 'But, I should be dead, how am I alive?' I thought to myself as I looked down at my hands before I gasped. 'This, why are my hands so....small, and young, where are all of the calluses from my years of sword training?! I had bigger hands than this! These look like a child's hands!' I frowned down at my hands before I huffed, throwing away the covers and sat down in the lotus position on the bed. I need to center myself to remember what exactly happened before I died or fell unconscious since I'm clearly alive and not dead. Diving into my memories and looking through them, I remembered everything that happened. A tear fell down from my right eye. For one, I really did die, but I am still alive regardless. The Sect had been attacked by demons, who had gone rogue and had disobeyed my master's husbands' orders to leave the Sect alone, Luo Binghe, the Demon Lord, and Shen QingQiu's husband.
(Italics = Third Person's POV Flashbacks)
Hua Juhua was practicing on her Guqin, when suddenly, "Shizun! Demons have attacked the sect! What do we do?!" A young disciple exclaimed with panic as he rushed into his shizun's study. Hua Juhua immediately stood up and summoned her war fan and sword into her hands. "Get all of the disciples down the mountain as quickly as possible, tell them to work together! I'll handle the demons!" She ordered and the disciple rushed away with the quickest bow that he had ever given to his Shizun before.
I had managed to get all of my disciples to safety before the Demons got to them and to help them escape quickly, I fought the demons head on. My cultivation was almost at its peak, just a mere decade more and I would have reached the goal of cultivation, Immortality, but alas, I died before that could have happened. I remember clearly how I died, it was not because of a wound that wouldn't stop bleeding, or the attack of the demons, or being eaten by a nasty demon, it was because of sacrifice. My youngest and cutest disciple at the moment, A-Yue, who was only 14 years old had not been able to escape with the other disciples, so I had to send her away quickly and kill the demons who had seen her.
