I don't know how I ended up like this.
Staring up at the pitch black sky, wondering if I should just end it here.
Groaning, wretched, blood-thirsty creatures roam the city streets beneath me.
I sigh.
I take a deep breath to calm myself from the event that happened a few minutes prior.
I had just escaped from vampires.
It was like any other day. Wake up, go to school, come home. Everything was fine.
Until the clock struck midnight.
The clouds cleared, and revealed the moon. A bloody shade of red.
And before I knew it, I heard screams.
I jolted awake from my bed, and the red shade of the moon had reached through my bedroom curtains. Another agonizing scream pierced through my ears, and I turned my head to direction of the sound.
It was coming from my parents' bedroom.
I quickly got out of bed and ran to where they were located, only to be met by the sight of them getting the blood sucked out of themselves. Literally.
Two creatures with sharp, knife-like fangs bit into the skin of my parents.
Before they could notice me, my first instinct was to run.
I ran out of the house, onto the streets. Much to my dismay, there were hundreds of vampires already patrolling the streets.
Trying to go unnoticed, I ran through random alleyways, up apartment stairs, and into an abandoned building at the outskirts of the city.
Which leads me to where I am now. Sitting at the edge of an abandoned apartment roof, debating my life choices.
