"Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart? How the music can free her whenever it starts?"
Remus twirled Cassie around, laughing as the short witch sang along with all of her heart.
"And its magic if the music is groovy"
Sirius shook his ass in front of James, singing the words with a suggestive cheek.
"It makes you feel happy like an old time movie"
James dramatically 'rejected' Sirius and knelt down instead in front of Peter, putting his hands together to worship the boy in front of him.
"I'll tell you about the magic and it'll free your soul"
Peter grabbed James' face and got close enough that it seemed they would kiss, whilst Sirius was on his knees in apparent despair.
"BUT ITS LIKE TRYNA TELL A STRANGER 'BOUT A ROCK 'N' ROLL"
All five Marauders jumped up together and screamed their favourite lyric, now huddled together in laughter.
"Guys please... it's like 3am. If you want to scream bloody murder can you please relocate to literally anywhere else in the castle." Marlene complained, although she was unfortunately well accustomed to being woken up by her fellow Gryffindors at stupid hours in the morning.
Sirius simply winked at the girl and promised to keep it down 'just for her', and her demeanour immediately relaxed with a blush and a giggle.
Once she'd gone back to bed, the group of five burst into laughter and decided to give in, plonking themselves on the common room sofas. They chatted and laughed until they simply could not keep their eyes open any longer, and they fell asleep for the few hours of the night remaining until breakfast.
Cassie had sprawled herself exaggeratedly with her head on Remus' lap, drifting into a peaceful slumber the second Remus began scratching her head, and her legs were relaxed over Peter's lap. James and Sirius occupied the other sofa with Sirius lying on top of James, their legs entwined and James' arms wrapped around Sirius. It was classic for the Black siblings to be the most dramatic in any given room at any given time, even when asleep.
But the other Marauders wouldn't have it any other way. It was moments like these which made the teenagers feel like everything would be okay, like nothing could hurt them as long as they had each other. And that was to be true, everything would be okay, as long as they had each other ...

hellooo!!
first and foremost i want to say thank you and welcome to my book! this is my first time writing, it's something i've thought about doing for the past 7 or so years (from when i read my first marauders fanfic!) but i've always felt nervous about it. so be kind, but don't be afraid to tell me (kindly!) if something doesn't seem right, or is badly written :)
just a wee warning, this book is gonna be longggg and detailed. i'm still figuring out the details and how i want the story to go but i have lots of ideas that i cannot wait to share! this chapter is unique in its length- this was supposed to be kinda like a tv show opening theme song, just a lil something to introduce the main five and their vibe. i will be going into lots of detail about each character and their relations with each other, and i am a horrific rambler at the best of times so... hehe
all characters in the story belong to jk rowling, apart from my own character, cassie black.
the song used in this chapter is 'do you believe in magic?' by the lovin' spoonful (1965). a fabulous song! look forward to lots of 60s and 70s music references throughout this book :D
if you decide to stick around, then i would be incredibly grateful. i cannot wait to upload more chapters and hear what you guys think about my writing !! and also, if you notice any similarities between my book and another book, please let me know. it's most probably not intentional, and i don't want to take credit for anybody else's ideas!
until next time ....
mischief managed.
