Orion Pax's POV

After leaving Kaon, Jazz states, "so I've already begun to look into things. Your friend Megatronus-- or Megatron-- has an interesting history."

"I'm well aware of his history."

"I know you do, but I didn't, and I thought I would look and see what I could find. My question is, what do you think he wants?"

I thought of this very question for quite a while now. "He wants the Cybertron that used to be. The Cybertron that you weren't doomed to a Guild and caste the moment you emerged from the Well of Allsparks. The Cybertron that you could become anything. The Cybertron that looked to the stars, battled the Quintessons, and challenged itself to reach out and see how far it's grasp could extend."

Jazz looks at me somewhat concerned but stricken with awe at my words. As if to say, they really think so much alike. He asks once more, "Is this what you want? Because it's time you stopped pretending otherwise."

"It is,"

"Good, because I won't say you're wrong in thinking these dangerous thoughts. But what do you think the upper castes are going to react? Do you think they want to return to the days when Cybertron's success was based on merit and dedication?"

I say nothing at first, then I go to say with confidence, "well that's a risk we're going to have to take. I'm not asking to force them, but persuade them. I don't know how Megatron will go about it, but I do know that we both play an equal part in all of it. It was our idea to begin with."

"Whatever the case may be, I'll stand by you Orion."

And with that we accelerate our efforts to make it back to Iacon

2 solar cycles later

Hesitant on devising this broadcast to televise our ideals out to the world, I feel as though I'm jumping to conclusions. I look at Megatron, wondering how he feels in all of this. He looks back and gives me a reassuring wink. I blush and look away, attempting to shrug off any emotional thoughts towards him. In the end it was futile, because I do feel something for him, it's just hard to put into words, let alone thoughts.

"Soundwave, have you connected the data relays to every broadcast channel on Cybertron?" Megatron asks the bot who's been tailing us from Kaon.

"Yes Megatron," Soundwave answers, lifting an arm for his bird like minicon to land onto.
"Good," he replies, sighing a hefty breath, as if getting ready to spread out a lengthy speech to the rest of Cybertron.

I place a servo on his shoulder plate, reassuring him that I was on his side regardless of what he had to say. He turns to look at me and smiles. I blush slightly and smile back at him, no longer denying my feelings for Megatron.

Megatron's POV

I noticed myself on the screen of every monitor outside, making my presence known. "I had nothing to do with this recent attack upon our society. But I do not deny the possibility that the Cybertronians who carried them out partly inspired by my belief that every Cybertronian has the right to self determination. I do, however, pity the loss of life, but how many Cybertronians who died whilst I fought for my life in the gladiatorial arena below Kaon? How many others died for their own pleasure? Now those Cybertronians whose lives were your pleasure, they've come to tell the world that they have reclaimed their lives! No Cybertronian shall tell any other Cybertronian what can and cannot be done! I am Megatron. I lead all those who choose to follow me, and I repudiate all those who perform despicable acts in my name. I fight with logic, not bombs. I believe in the arena of ideas, not of killing. Let the perpetrators of this attack feel the full weight of Cybertronian justice. I shall forewarn you of those who have committed this act; if I find you first, my justice will be swifter and more final."

I bring out a servo, inviting Orion Pax to take. He hesitated at first, as I usher him in with my fingers. He takes my servo, and I bring him up to the monitor. "Now it's your turn to make yourself known." I whispered in his audio receptor. He shyly turns his head, ponders on what to say next, then faces the monitor, clears his throat, and proclaims, "I am Orion Pax. I am a data miner at the Hall of Records, working under Alpha Trion himself. I am here to testify that Megatron is not responsible for what is happening."

3rd person POV

The data channels around them exploded with feedback. In that instant, Orion Pax ceased his former existence as a simple data clerk, in the eyes of the public, and reconstituted as outlaw/terrorist/revolutionary/crackpot. What he heard and saw over the feedback channels- before Orion Pax instructed the Grid to isolate and focus on the Council-moderated lines of communication- shocked him. Megatron looked down at him, a look of awe and disbelief written on Orion's face, took him by the shoulders, turned Orion to face him and hugged him. "You didn't do this, and nor did I. They have to listen, they must understand..." Orion spoke, his voice shaking.
"They will never understand because they do not care to understand. As long as their situation is better than ours, understanding is the last thing they want." Megatron muttered, stroking Orion's backplates in reassurance. Orion trembled at the touch, looked up at Megatron and gave a swift kiss on his cheek plate. Orion pulled away from Megatron's grasp and began to walk away, but before he could break into a run, Megatron grabbed his forearm, pulled him in and said, "If you're going to kiss me, be sure you do not miss the main target." Then pressed his lips onto Orion's. Orion stifled, then relaxed as the intensity of the kiss grew. Closing his optics, he reciprocated.

In Megatron's mind, it told him that Orion was his alone, and Primus forbid if he betrays him, he would not live to see the day their plan becomes true. The plan the both bots wanted to make for all of Cybertron. At this point on, and in the public view, Orion Pax and Megatron were now the co-leaders of the movement that was setting off lethal explosions all over the planet.
