*time skip to the great hall*
I was patiently waiting outside the gigantic doors that lead to the great hall. I hear dumbledore start a speech. " welcome,welcome everyone back to another year at hogwarts, we will be sorting the first years in a moment, but first we have a new student joining us," his voice was booming in my ear. "please welcome Y/N LESTRANGE." he finished, emphasising my name.

As i walked through the doors looking straight ahead, i heard whispers coming for every side of me.
"lestrange?!"  "i bet she is just like her mother"
i heard some ginger kid say. I stared him down and smirked.
i guess that made him shut his mouth because he looked at his feet and turned around.

I look over to the other side of the room when i felt someone sending daggers at me. i quickly caught riddle staring right through me giving me the most horrible look of this century. i did the same look and held it to see who looked away first. after about 10 seconds he looked away and i smirked to myself as i made my way up the steps to some crooked,broken ass chair. "please sit" mcgonagall said to me.
i cautiously sat down and faced the front of the room. she was about to place a dusty hat my head but before it even touched me the hat shouted
"SLYTHERIN" i got up and walked towards the slytherin table.

"MAY THE FEAST BEGIN" dumbledore shouted which echoed across the whole room. i sat down next to pansy and took a piece of toast and some orange juice. "omg y/n i just realised!! mcgonagall said you we're going to be my new roommate!!" pansy said excitedly, "nice" was what i said to her with a big grin, but hers slowly faded when she saw someone coming our direction.

Astoria walked past our table laughing with her minions, but when she reached me she grabbed my head and pushed it forwards, so i quickly stuck my foot out and gladly she tripped over it. she quickly got up holding her now bleeding noise. " HOW COULD YOU DO THAT YOU EVIL BITCH" she said walking towards me. Before she could slap me i grabbed her tie and pulled her face closer to me. "don't fuck with me" i said sternly into her ear and then shoving her away from me. "fucking hell what's her problem" i said, taking a bite of my toast, i looked straight ahead and saw riddle smirking at me. has this guy got a staring problem or what?! i looked away from him when pansy told me there was a party in the slytherin common room. I'm not really a party person but i'll go for the sake of it.
"but pansy i didn't really bring any dresses.."
" oh it's fine," she reassured me, "we can go to hogsmeade and get some, why don't we go now?"
"yeah sure" i said as she dragged me out of the great hall.

i know it's kinda short but this is only the sorting ceremony so i might post the next chapter today some time. if not tomorrow then!
