Shefali's POV
"Are you guys sure that this is what you want?"
Ishan asked for the 2nd time.
I nodded. And looked at Shubman who reciprocated my action.
"Just think about it. Talk about it. Or go on a vacation"
Ishan said as he was pacing back and forth.
"Ishan calm down. We knew this day would come. It's just not meant to be"
I said as I tried to comfort him.
"Ughhh but why? We three were so good"
Ishan spoke.
I looked at Shubman for some help.
"Bro, even after the divorce she will be your friend, right Shefali?"
Shubman said and looked at me.
I nodded to his question.
"Yeah but it would be awkward for you both to be in the same room"
Ishan said.
"It won't be. See it was an arranged marriage. We thought we could be friends and make our parents happy. But sometimes it's not enough. We are not alike. We have different lifestyles. Goals. Opinion"
Shubman continued.
"Yes. Marriage without love is like a compromise. I respect Shubman but I don't love him"
I said and Shubman shook his head.
"What about uncle aunty?"
Ishan asked.
"We are going to Di's wedding next week and after that, we will tell them. We don't wanna ruin Di's wedding"
Shubman explained to Ishan.
Ishan left an hour ago. I settle in bed while applying my night cream and Shubman was watching the match.
"Just one month"
I said.
Shubman looked at me and repeated,
"Just one month"
"it wasn't horrible. The last 1 and a half years. I'll be so happy for the girl who you will fall in love with"
I spoke.
"Don't know about that but you were a great partner"
He spoke out.
"I'm anxious how will mummy pappa react?"
I asked.
"Join the club. Let's see. And you can meet them whenever you want. Mohali isn't that far from Delhi"
"Um Shub I applied for a job um in Bangalore"
I confessed
"What?! And you didn't even tell me"
"I haven't got the job yet. But I thought we would have gotten divorced by then and"
"Why Bangalore?"
"It's in Inforys. My dream job"
I spoke.

I was with all the Gill sisters getting ready for the sangeet. I was wearing a beautiful lavender saree and a sleeveless blouse. I was just doing a touch-up when Shubman came into the room and said,
"Shef I need"
I could hear all the girls go 'Ohhh'
Shubman gave them a look and said,
"I need to um decide which watch to wear"
"Bhai can't you decide on your own?"
One of the sisters asked.
"Yes Bhai, you need bhabhi for everything"
"Bhai just say it. You miss Bhabhi and wanna do adults things with her"
Another sister said while air-quoting adults' things.
Whereas I was just enjoying Shubman getting bullied by his little sisters.
"I'm gonna ignore all of you and Shef-"
"Yeah became all you could see is bhabhi"
Someone commented and I swear I saw Shubman Blush.
