"Do you think this gown looks decant  or maybe I should have worn the red dress" I asked Amelia my server as I stared at the brown eyes looking straight ahead at me

"No Your Grace you look perfectly fine. Rather beautiful, like always Your Grace."

"Lia its Anna to you, will you stop with the formality. " I pleaded with my eyes now facing her off  the mirror  for the hundredth time "Besides you are like the sibling I never had. so formalities are past at this point"

"But You- I mean Anna you do have a sibling." she reminded

"Whom I never see, as he is out there saving the kingdom, whilst I stay here with my dear mama and papa, being trained on how to be a perfect wife and bore babies for the future of the  Kingdom assigned. Argh, I doubt if we are hardly siblings later alone twins. He is so arrogant and brood and everything I am not. No wonder why he does not have a wife waiting. " I rolled my eyes whilst Lia giggled.

"It is good to know you keep up with his attitude Your Grace."

"Anna! And how could I not, he is still my brother after all, let us get going before your mother has both our heads." I said as we I stood up heading out of my chambers.

"All rise for  Princess Torrianna of the Kingdom of Velleity, the daughter of King Victor The IX and Queen Lorraine IX." All the people who were present in the House of Fire stood up as I passed through with my head held high. Only bowed before my birth parents.

"Rise child." said papa whilst he kissed both my cheeks and I moved to my mama who kissed me on the cheeks and I sat besides her.

"What a lovely morning for such a dull colour Anna." I gasped

"Is it that bad mama? Or you have decided to do your little tricks on me" she only smirked and I shook my head facing ahead with the lioness face.

"Good morning to you all, I believe this had to be important for the council to have travelled from the House of Chambers. And for my daughter to be in this gathering." said father his words directly aiming at the Council. Lord Danbury who you may say the leader of the Council stood up. I have always hated that man. He challenged my father as if it was his little boy, it angered me a lot.

"Yes your majesty this called for emergency, as the council solely decided on the life of Her Grace, we as the council have decided to give a rider to Her Grace."

I pinched my eye brows and stood up

"Have you come all the way from your House to mine to disrespect Her Grace. Because she was born from house of riders and is already a better rider than all men in this house." I spoke firmly ''Or you have travelled across the seas to challenge Her Grace." I pointed out

Lord Danbury smirked and looked at my father

"Forgive me your highness I had not stated properly what I meant. Her Grace meaning the Princess, I addressed her with that respect because she is the future leader of this nation."

Dead silence. A coin could drop and it would be loud and clear. What is the meaning of this?

"Pardon me Lord Danbury, for centuries the last chid had no reason to be a rider yet you say I should be a rider. To top it all my brother the future king of this nation is out there fighting for your house and mine. Yet you make such drastic decisions." I reasoned

"That is very good literature but we do not have any hope of the futu-"

"You damn know that is a lie." I fumed

"Language Anna!" fumed papa

"No! Father. That is absurd, when you appointed him to be the next Future King you knew you could see the future but now you tell me you do not. Have you all lost your damn minds."

"Torrianna Tora Velleity that is enough!" roared father. I turned begging my eyes at mother to back me up but she did nothing but stare straight ahead as if she does not see me.

"Thank you Your Highness for putting your daughter on the leash." Lord Pittarson said "We have little to no time. The Sheaveba Kingdom and the Shitha Dynasty are in an alliance. This means that they have joined hands in the war. We have little to no no hope. We must protect our realm before the water thickens.

"If I could make this conversation a lot easier for you Lord Danbury and Lord Pittarson. Commander Zion Velleity , the heir to the Velleity throne. Who is at war, a war which we where never supposed to be entangled with but it was the Councils idea. Today you come in my house and tell us to prepare for a new heir because we are going to fail this war. The heir to the throne is going to be dead hence the throne is dead.  Is that right?" Mother asked, head held high

"T-that is correct Your Grace." stuttered Lord Danbury

"You travelled days for you to tell us my son is good as dead and you already have a plane for the throne. Which is my only daughter , the only child I have left with since the other you fed him to the wolves. The only heir left to this throne. To be trained with a dragon and finish the war You involved us in! Is that it?"

"Your Grace, these news weigh heavily on your heart but we believe in dest-"

"Do not dare finish that sentence. you believe in a destiny, a destiny which you make for us. You planed this. Set my brother for murder!" I cried

"That is enough!"

"No father that is my broth-"

"And I am your King ,I command you to leave this room instantly." he ordered

I could feel tears, I was on the verge of crying but I refused for one tear to drop. So i challenged my father myself.

"If you go ahead with this Your Majesty, I am good as dead to you." I whispered I turned back to the Council "Have a wonderful stay my lords. " I offered the fakest smile walking out of the room as if it burned. Once I was in the comfort of my chambers I clenched my eyes shut.

"Amelia can you give me a minute."

"Yes Your Grace."

I would not let my brother die. I had to save him.

Think Torrianna think

I set on my bed what seemed hours until I could not anymore.

"Amelia prepare the rider." I shouted and she came in looking at me with wide eyes

"We never use the rider, were to Your Grace."

"Sheaveba Kingdom."
