Later that week, the five of us were in court. Our lawyer tried his best, but when the cops found out about our business and the things we'd done, there was no way in hell that we'd be getting out of this. The one thing that got us cornered was the trespassing charge; we had no defense against that. As soon as they decided that we were too dangerous to remain in Japan, and they shipped us back to Canada, where we were taken directly to jail.
We were on the prison bus at about 7:00 in the morning, and we got put in a pretty heavily guarded one, due to our "dangerous nature", and we would all be put in different cells. Well, aside from me and Hawk. We made it seem like we absolutely hated each other, and the guards figured they get some entertainment by putting us together.
They walked us in the front door, gave us the usual spiel you hear in all the movies about behavior and why we're there, then the took us down the line to get our heads shaved.
I looked to my right and saw Joker looking really sad. He had long, wavy hair that he was proud of, and now it was all getting shaved off. He always thought it made him look more badass, and the guy always had low self-esteem as it was, so I could only imagine what it must have been like to lose it all.
After we left the "salon", we moved onto the showers, got dressed, and moved to our cells. Like I said, we were in pretty decent security, so we got large, steel doors, electrically locked, and guarded all night long. There was no way that we'd get out any time soon, so we had to start thinking.
When we got in our cell, I looked at Hawk. He was pissed. So much so, he punched the door as soon as it shut, and yelled every cuss you could think of, and some even I'd never heard.
"Chris, calm down, man. We just gotta give Jerry a call, and he'll pay the bail."
"You idiot," he glared at me, "didn't you hear the judge? NO BAIL! We're stuck in here, and God knows what the hell is going on out there! We lost the contract, and even worse, we might just get a burn notice because of it! So don't you DARE tell me to calm down, Andy. Let's face it, bro. We're screwed." He plopped down on the bed and started sulking.
I knew that he was right. We had no way out of here, unless we cut the electricity, and even then, they have a backup generator, not to mention the guards or the fact that we were in the middle of the jail and had no way out. We were boned.
