Free fall

The drive to the record label was long, I sat in the passenger seat next to him as we listened to the radio, singing the songs that came up on the radio until one song came on "inertia" by AJR. (I know it's a new song just humor me.) As I moved a little to the music I started to sing along, Colby starring at me like he's getting a front row seat to a show.

-several minutes later-

Once we pull into the parking lot i looked at him, "you ready for this?" he asks and i pulled my key out of the car and nodded. "Ready as i'll ever be" i said and he smiled and opened his door. I copied his mvement and got out closing and locking the car door behind me. I took in a long inhale and opened the door to the building, Colby following behind me. I walked to the front desk and looked at the lady in front of me, she smiles and looks at me "Hello do you have an appointment today?" she asks and i nod my head. "Yes ma'am i have one for 1 pm" i said back looking vaguely at her computer to see the time 12:47 pm i take a deep breath and smile that i got here on time after colby took forever with his shower before we left. "I'll inform him that you're here" she says snapping me out of my small trance and I smiled and walked over to Colby, "so?" he asked and i responded "were gonna be sitting here for a few minutes at least" i sat down and grabbed my phone out of my pocket.

A few minutes later after he took some pictures of us and the place a man called me in and we walked over "a guest?" the man asked and i nodded "yes sir, you could say emotional support" i said laughing silently to myself and he nodded. As we followed him through the large building i looked around and noticed colby smiling at me, "What?" i asked "nothing im just so glad you let me come along" he said through a toothy white grin. I smiled and nodded "im glad you asked" i said back to him.

After a few hours of being in the studio and 17 bottles of water we were finally done "Thank you Ms. L/n, im glad we could record a new song together" the owner Mr. Tucker said and i smiled "Of course, it was so lovely working with you." we shook hands and he looked at Colby who seemed to still be listening to the music in his head and i elbowed him "Oh! Sorry, it was lovely to meet you, though we do have a flight to catch" he said and i nodded agreeing "yes a long miserable 9 hour flight" i said through a sigh. After he showed us out we took the car back to the hotel and grabbed our bags, "im so excited to go home" i said and he nodded "me too" he said back.

After another long car drive, we pulled into the parking lot and found the parking spot with the man who was going to take it back to the car rental, i smiled as i handed him the keys. "You lovely couple have a wonderful day" he said and i looked at himthen to Colby  "oh well, thank you" Colby said and i smiled and we walked into the airport, the long line to get our bags checked in moved swiftly almost like several people were worried about missing their flights, however the woman in front of us had different idea of time management "You need to make sure my bag is put in a good spot, i have a gift for my boyfriend in that suitcase, and the other one need to be handled with care too, my expensive curling iorns are in there" she said in the most bratty tone she could muster i looked at my watch to see what time it was, we still had to go through TSA and i wasn't about to be late, however it was painfully obvious that the guy behind the counter didnt know how to deal with her and made promises i dont think he could keep.

"Ma'am we have a 6 pm flight to Hawaii to get to can you hurry and stop demanding things" Colby said noticing my anger twords the woman "its 4pm youll be fine" she said back before turning around to see an angry Colby. She looked at him shocked "i'm so sorry, i didnt know you were the one behind me" he said and she moved down the rest of the line i smiled at Colby for getting us through quicker despite it being cause a girl noticed who he was. We but our bags up and left for TSA, as i took off my shoes and the hoodie i stole from Colbys collection in his suitcase and the rest of my belongings i stepped through the metal detector and continued grabbing by things from the small bucket and putting my black and white vans back on. After putting verything back on along with my rings i looked at Colby, "ready?" he asked and i smiled "yep" i said back and we walked to our first stop, coffee than to get some food, after we finished getting the food we walked to our gate and sat down eating our food, before we were called to board, we got enough for us on the plane so we wouldn't have to deal with airplane food, though th food in first class isn't that bad.

When we got to our seats he took the window seat as usual. "You know, i found out something funny about crocodiles" i said and he looked at me almost confused "oh? Whats that?" he asked and i smiled "they can't stick out their tongues" i said with a giggle i looked at him and he was laughing "thats the strangest thing, is that true?" he asked and i nodded "yes, it is" i said smiling. After a few hours i pulled out the food we had gotten from McDonalds while we were still in the airport, Colby was focused on his movie and i pulled out my laptop so i could watch one too, i set the computer in my lap and unlocked it, putting in my airpods and as soon as they connected i started watching my favorite disney movie, "Tangled? Really?" he asked as the movie started playing, i smiled "Yeah whats wrong with Tangled?" i asked "nothing i just wouldn't expect that from you" he said back and i smiled "nope it's my go to movie and the scene on the boat is a dream i would love to live" i said back and he smiled "well i hope you enjoy your movie" he said and i smiled "Oh i will" i said back as i started paying attention to the movie, after about 30 minutes Colby put his headphones away and grabbed one from my ear and put it in his "what are you doing?" i asked and he just moved the laptop so he could see.

After the movie ended i layed my head against the chair and slowly drifted to sleep...
