May 31st, 1707

The day when the wheels were finally set into motion.
The day when things would never be the same...
The day when a kingdom changed forever...

It was a dark night in the kingdom of Solitaria... It was mostly a quiet night, besides the wails of a crying child in the castle...

A queen holds her baby in her arms, cradling the child. She looks down once more to see her beautiful baby boy. The child calmed down upon seeing his mother's calm expression. He looks at her, and giggles a little.

The queen smiles, almost crying tears of joy, a mothers love is very powerful, as one would know.

As the baby stared up at his mother, one thing was very noticable. His eyes.

His eyes were a beautiful amethyst purple. Something that was never before seen in a human.

...

A knock came unto the queen's bedroom door.

"Kat? Everything alright in there? Just wanting to make sure you're alright!" *A women's voice said.*

The queen looks up from her baby, looking at the door.

"Everything... Is alright. Come in." She says calmly.

The door opens, and two women were now standing in the doorway.

One was much taller than the average lady, she was more masculine than anything, she had gray hair, but still looked very young. Her skin was a beautiful light brown. She came from mexican culture. Her eyes were also gray. This was the commander of the kingdom's royal guard, Arina Forning.

The other was the average height for a women, she looked almost perfect. Her skin was what one would say... "Very Pale." She had ruby red eyes, and jet black hair. This was the queens royal advisor and the kingdom's popular diva girl, Emily Succuli.

"Arina! Emily! Come here, both of you, come see!" The queen, Kat, softly exclaimed, as to not accidentally freak out the child. The two women came to the bedside, looking down at the child.

"Awwwww! ¡Mira a este niño! He's so adorable!" Arina said, she had a soft spot for children. While she didn't want one herself, it was always nice to see someone else's. Arina turns to her wife, Emily. "Isn't he just the cutest little thing, mi amor??" She says excitedly. Emily looks down at the child once more, she titls her head. Her face lightly contorted into one of confusion.

"I don't get it..." Emily started. "How come he gets to be so... cute?" Emily said as she smiled. "I wish I had that type of charm." She leaned down and booped the child. "So, what's the little guy's name, anyway?" She asked, leaning back up and turning to Kat.

"I think his name... will be Marrow." Kat said with a calm smile.
"Marrow, huh...?" Emily raised a brow. "You sure? Why not give him a name that suits his eye color?"
"Like what, hm? I don't think Amethyst would suit a boy..." Kat said, unimpressed.
"What a wonderful name, your majesty! Hiciste un gran trabajo!" Arina said, clapping her hands
"Thank you, Arina." Kat smiled.

There was a moment of silence before Marrow sneezed, causing Emily to jump a little.

"Jesus- That scared me a little." Emily laughed.

The three just continued to talk as Marrow fell to sleep. As Arina and Kat became drowned in a conversation, Emily looked at the sleeping Marrow, she couldn't put her finger on it, but something told her there was much, much more to this baby than it seemed. And it wasn't just because of the purple eyes. She became lost in thought as to why her gut was telling her that something was 'up' with this kid. But it wasn't in a bad way...

All she knew is that some sort of chain of events had been set in motion with the birth of prince Marrow...
