Amos Skytree sighed deeply, and clicked the enter key.

All across the world, messages were being sent out across the internet. New sites updating, forums beginning to buzz about a single thing: M.kiansei.

This was his personal pet project since he was a child, making games on with his friends. Now, he'd taken all those ideas he'd had - from a terrible version of D&D he made as a child to the MMO prototype he'd published the prior year. Now, all of it, mixed with the hard work of other developers, formed an MMO with, as the fans were quickly saying, the potential to become the greatest game in history.

The developers working for MagTech had created the largest in-game world to date, and, only a year after release, they managed to produce a system that would allow in-game characters to be randomly created, and given an AI that passed the turing test - essentially, the AI-powered party members would become nearly indistinguishable from real players.

Year after year, the game was updated, adding new features - potions, tamable monsters, and more. Amos was never surprised when people were upset by new features, but it seemed like the reign of M.kiansei would never end.
