A/N: second to last chapter :( posting the last chapter very soon ;) maybe in a few hours of posting this, might already be out by the time you read this 😭

1 YEAR LATER...

Kian's now 2 years old, Trent's brothers have came to pick him up the past year for a few days since we decided to do co-parenting, it's worked out fine so far, besides the fact Trent doesn't want to come get him himself because of obvious reasons, me.

Living with Niko again left like we hadn't broken up even after all these years of not being together, not sure if that's a good thing though looking back at our relationship back then.
as you guessed we're together again.

Am I happy? I guess you could say that, but was I as happy as I was with Trent? I don't have a clear answer for that

"Niko, did you forget Kian's nappies?" I questioned as he had only brung home snacks, crisps and junk food instead of our necessities

"Oh shit, I must have forgotten you can go out later and get them" he said as he kept his eyes on his laptop reviewing a video him and the team had just filmed

I rolled my eyes, "it's fine I'll go get it myself I guess" I said grabbing my shoes and keys

"Watch Kian will you? He's napping in his nursery" I asked

"Yep on it" he said not taking an off the screen

I walked out getting in the car driving to the nearest shop

I walked in quickly grabbing what I came for nappies and some products I knew Niko wouldn't come out and get himself

I walked aisle to aisle, I walked past one seeing Rena.

No, not Rena, I quickly walked to the other aisle hopping she hadn't seen me, "oh hey nani" I heard from behind me, I sighed

I turned around with my arms full of items to face her

"Hi" I said dryly giving her a weak smile

"Nappies? Oh yeah you're son, how's he doing, I bet he's just like his father" she smiled as she noticed the bag I was holding

"Yea, he's doing great" i said

"I heard your not with his dad anymore, what is shame" she said doing a frown

"Mhm, I'm doing fine without him thank you, I need to get going" i said shoving past her to the registers to pay

"Niko all we do it's fight, can you please have one day without arguing, look at Kian he's watching all of this bullshit happen" I said to Niko

"Well maybe don't get on my damn nerves so often" he said closing the door behind him of his filming room

I sighed, "come here kian" I said pulling him into a hug

"I want to go to daddy's" he frowned

"Do you not like it here?" I asked him

He shook his head, "I don't like Niko when he yells at you" he said

I looked at him

"I'll figure something out ki ki don't worry" I promised him

"Aye go Kian! you like this song?" Aj asked kian Turing down the music a bit

Kian nodded smiling

I smiled watching aj and kian dance and jump around

This was some of the only times I saw kian happy with other people, he was never like this with Niko he's always busy and doesn't make much time for kian and even myself now

"Alright babe I'm heading out" Niko said kissing my forehead

"Again?" I questioned, making him turn

"I got to film a video, I'll should be back by 8" he said heading out the door not even giving me the chance to say anything

I rolled my eyes, "I can't keep up with him" I let out, not realizing i said it out loud

Aj looked at me, "he has been acting different for quiet a while now" he shrugged

"I've noticed that too, it's like the time he had to spend with me and Kian disappeared and he's spending it on something else" i said

"I don't know what's up with him, I'll try talking to him" aj said

"Yea that would be nice he never listens to me anyway, thank you" i said

AJS POV

I noticed Niko was back home so I took the time to ask him how he's doing

"Yo Niko everything alright?"

"Yea why?" Niko replied

"Just wondering, haven't seen you spend much time with Nani lately" i said bringing up what I was wanting to know about

"Just haven't got the chance to" he said

"Is that really why?" I asked

He sighed, "look, she's just not over him." He said, "everything we do or I do for her she's always saying, "Aw Trent used to do that", "Trent always took me here", it's always Trent this Trent that I'm done I can't compete with him"

"Bro you can't just stop putting in effort, you have her though, what do you mean, YOU'VE won you even managed to get her back, he hasn't" I pointed out

"And that's what I fear."
