Today is the start of the best summer of my life. Yesterday I graduated from 4 years of emotional turmoil, and now I feel so free. I was so excited, I had to wake up Indigo and Penelope at 2am so we could be extra prepared for our 6am flight.

"Rise and shine!" Natasha yells across the room, where the two other girls are sleeping. "What is wrong with you.." Indigo says with sleep still in her voice. "What time is it?" Penelope chirps, alarmed from the screaming. "It's 2am obviously. Get up before we miss our flight!" Dirty looks are thrown across the room, but the girls decide to get up and prepare for the long trip ahead.

Natasha powers on her speaker and shuffles her prepared summer playlist, the first song to come on is 'Come Prima - Tito Puente'. The girls dance along to the song and continue to get ready. The good vibes felt like a foreshadowing to how amazing the rest of their summer would be.

Their uber ride was a breeze, literally. They rolled down the windows, feeling the rush of wind down the highway and looking at the beautiful sights of the city at 3am. Indigo whipped out her old video camera, needing to capture every moment. They finally arrive at the airport, checking in their bags at the terminal and getting past TSA. Natasha being chronically over prepared, helped for the ease of the process. Now, the girls are roaming around the airport with 3 hours to spare, spotting a Starbucks and ordering some coffee and refreshers before making their way to their gate.

"Now boarding flight 325 to Rome, Italy," The overhead speakers ring through their ears. They rose from their seats at the gate and began boarding. Excitement was buzzing through them. It was really settling in that they were going to be traveling around Italy for 3 months, and they were so ready.
