Confusion and Confession ~ G. Tomioka

"Alright, thank you, Shinazugawa, I think I'll walk the rest of the way home." You gave your thanks to your fellow comrade.
"Okay... bye. Try not to die on your way home, moron." He retorted unnecessarily.

"Yeah, you too.." you scoffed as you made your way home. Shinazugawa can be such an ass sometimes, but what can you do? You both are comrades, you have no choice but to get along.
As you were lost in your own thoughts, strolling down the moonlit path filled with autumn leaves that guided you to your estate, as you got closer, you couldn't help but notice a familiar, half-and-half haori lingering in-front.
"Giyuu?" you called out excitedly before as you ran up to him. "What are you doing here?" you smiled.
"Where were you?" He ignored with a stern expression with his arms crossed.
"I was on a mission... with Shinazugawa... why?"
"Shinazugawa?!" His voice was slightly raised as he said the name name he loathed, he looking at you with widened eyes.
"Yeah..." you said with a strained tone, as your sweet smile turned into a more nervous one.

"You went on a mission, with Shinazugawa," he started, saying the name syllable by syllable "and you didn't even bother to tell me?"

"Oh, I'm sorry..."  you apologized with your tone laced with evident sarcasm as you looked up at him, eyebrows furrowed as you stepped closer "... I didn't know I had to tell you about every little thing I do." you snapped.

"Well, it would be great if you did." the ravenette argued back.

it took you a few seconds to notice his face dusted a light shade of pink, only to match his expression as she realized how close you have gotten.

"Giyuu?" you called, getting him out of his trance as you tried to hide your blush.

He slightly shook his head after zoning back in. "what?"

"Are you serious? you really have nothing to say? Unbelievable." you scoffed as you started stomping your way to your front door, making your way inside. "You expect me to tell you all this shit, when you wont even do so yourself! how much of a hyp-" you pondered to yourself as you tried to shut the door but were stopped.

He intruded, pushing the door out of your grasp and stepping a bit closer, staring into your eyes with a demanding yet sorrowful gaze.

"Huh...?" you said taken aback, your hand still where the door was previously.

"I do care [Y/n]. I wasn't trying to portray any possessiveness. I'm only trying to make sure your safe because, I really, truly care. I can't risk losing someone like you..." he expressed as he gently held your hand with both of his hands.

"Someone like... me...? really?"

Someone like me? what could be mean?

You've always been oblivious to your own feelings towards the Water Pillar. Even some of your other peers have stated that it was obvious, but you've always denied it.

"So, [Y/n], when are you going to confess?" The love pillar asked.

"What are you talking about?" you said looking up from your sword that you were cleaning.

"Oh, come on~, you know what I'm talking about~!" She said in a teasing way while nudging your side.

"I really don't..." you said with a slight laugh.

"Ugh... Your feelings for Tomioka, when will you confess?"

"What? I don't have feelings for Tomioka..!"

"Yes, you do!" Mitsuri argued.

"Do not!" you argued back.

"[Y/n], how can you say you don't when you're the one that's been stuck right by his side since the day you got promoted as a pillar?"

" [Y/n], You both are on a first name basis, and I see the way you look at him, and the way you act around him. And I could say the same thing about Tomioka. He's been a little more open after hanging out with you. You've even seen him smile, AND laugh! You both have so much admiration for each other so much and you're just too dense to realize!"

"Uh-uh. I don't want to hear it [Y/n]. No matter how much you deny your feelings they won't get any less obvious. Im the Love Pillar of the Taisho-Era for goodness' sake! You can't lie to me!" She said with a playful tone but she meant what she said.  "Argue back when you realize I'm right." She huffed.

"...[Y/n], the moment you assured me that you didn't think any less of me for my failures, and stuck right by my side... I've grown very..." he hesitates to find the right word, getting more nervous by the second "u-um.. fond of you... and... I appreciate you... a lot..." He said, cheeks turning a but red.

Oh my.. is this a confession? What is this? why am i burning up? was Kanroji right? am i really in love with Giyuu? Oh fuck, i am.. I.. I am in love with Giyuu!

Once you took in this information, impulsively you held his face in your hands and pressed your lips against his, not even letting him finish his disclosure and pulling away after a few seconds , hands covering the lower half of your face as you both were shocked by your own actions.

"Oh. My. Goodness. I'm so sorry Giyuu.. I don't know why I did that! i-it was an instinct, I'm so, so sorry, plea-" you were interrupted when cold hands, guided yours away from your face. Those same hands moved to your waist and the back if your head, deepening the kiss and you instinctively snaked your hands around the nape of his neck.
