Her name, was Alicia. She was 10 years old. She had long, flowing, beautiful, curly, brown hair. Dark, soft brown eyes. Big pink lips. A voice that could calm even the most ferocious beast of all. Long dark eyelashes. And a soft toned skin color. She had the most beautiful personality. Anyone would love her. She believed there was good in everyone. She & her family went to church every Sunday as well.

******

She grew up with a family that loved her very much, and they showed it. They treated her well, like any parent should. Although she was an only child, they were a happy family.

******

One day, her parents got in an argument. It wasn't very often they got mad at each other. It was very rare and brief. They would always talk it over and make up. But it didn't seem that way this time. This time it was more louder. More angrier. More longer than usual.

******

They kept on for about a couple of days. Alicia couldn't stand it. She wanted to know what was going on. She wanted to know what made them so angry at each other. She didn't like it.

******

So one day, after she came home from school, Alicia asked her mom if she could talk to her in her room while her dad was at work.

******

So they went into Alicia's room. Her room was big, big enough to almost be the master bedroom. The walls were a light shade of pink. She had toy boxes in two corners full of things she had when she was younger. Her bed was a queen bed. It was far too big for Alicia but she would grow into it. She had stuffed animals and crazy pillows, her grandparents had given her, all over the bed.

******

Alicia put her backpack by her counter and sat on the corner of her bed. Her mother followed behind, and sat next to her.

******

"Mom," Alicia said. "Can I ask you a question?" "Sure honey, what is it?" Her mother said with a warming smile. "What's going on with you and dad? I know it shouldn't be any of my business..."Alicia said looking at the ground doubtfully. "But I really want to know, I don't like it when you guys fight." Her mother sighed. "Alicia, I want you to know me and your father love each other very much. But sometimes we don't always agree with each other." Alicia looked at her. "Will you guys get over it? Like you always do?" A tear rolled down her soft blushed cheek. "Of course honey," her mother looked out the window in disbelief, "I promise."

******

Alicia's father had just come home. Just in time for dinner. They were gonna have spaghetti. Alicia's favorite.

******

Alicia was in her bathroom getting ready for dinner. When she heard her dad screaming at her mom. She didn't know what was going on so she peaked through the corner of the hall to listen. She heard him talking about his job but she couldn't quit understand what he was saying, he was yelling too loud. She heard her mom crying and saying 'I'm sorry'. She wanted to go up to her father and tell him to stop. But she was afraid.

******

She heard her dad storm off somewhere. She thought he was coming toward Alicia. So she ran back in her room and sprinted to her bathroom, to make it look like she was getting ready instead of eaves dropping.

******

"Alicia, dinners ready come eat." Her father said, in a voice that sounded like he was angry but tried not to show it. But she knew he was. She knew he was trying to act like nothing happened.
