He wasn't trapped in his head. It was more like he was too scared to move. His mom had called him stupid, his father called him lazy, but his sister was too nice to say anything. She just left him some water and last night's leftovers. Soooo kind she was, never too mean to say anything, just nice enough to pity him but far too cruel to acknowledge the problem.

Not until his parents were out of the house, when Sawyer could finally leave his room, in there he was trapped, he stopped feeling their love and only left his room when he didn't have to face their disappointment.

Disappointment- he did stop going to school, never had a job, no girlfriend- no friends really at all- he didn't want think about it anymore. He didn't want to get trapped in his head before he emptied the trash out of his room and made himself something to eat.

He hesitated to enter to the kitchen. He heard a bit of laughter, and then it stopped. No way it was bout him, right? Nah his sister, the only one in the house, she wouldn't laugh at him. She was the only one with enough pity to leave him alone. He wondered if she would let him kill himself- no of course not she's not mean... just too nice. Yeah, nice enough to watch him die a slow death! Or maybe she wouldn't feel too bad letting her parents lose their worthless son- he didn't want to think about it anymore

Eventually he just walked in, almost confidently...until she caught his gaze, then her eyes looked past him. Looking for something else anything else, and he was trapped. She was about to say something before he blurted out- "What!?", he said it almost angrily.

"It's..um.. you're.." She didn't want to think about it...,but it had to be said "Mom and dad are...they're gonna kick you out...",she managed to spit it out. Her gaze fell to the floor.

"what!?", Sawyer was speechless, only reiterating what he said earlier, "what... are you saying? Why would they- Are u sure?? Today??"

"When they get back... yes today...they're getting the police to um..remove..you.." She was staring at the ground so hard , he couldn't see her face.

"FUCK!", his heart was racing "Fuck those stupid cunt finally want to make their move...Ill show them... fucking pricks!" He was about to start making a mess, just throwing shit everywhere smashing everything "It's their own damn fault they can't raise a normal fucking person! They never even showed me how to be normal just how to act like them, self absorbed cunts with an opinion on everything except themselves", He was about to Smash a shelf full of dishes-before heard something.

Sawyer looked over to his sister, gaze still pressed to the floor full of pity. But not just pity... there was a small snicker, and as he turned towards her, it turned into laughter - He didn't even think bout it. Once she looked up with smile of pure mockery, pity and disdain.

"You really believed me!! Look at how pathetic you're acting- talking about how it's mom and dads fault, she giggled in between her amusing- "you of all people really think someone like dad owes you anything. He's a hero, and all you do is masturbate and watch videos all day. What the fuck do you even think they could do for you at this point? You're so hopeless you might as well disappear. You at least gopt one thing right- you're self absorbed and a fucking weirdo."

He didn't even think about it, once she stopped laughing and started berating him, he slammed into her hard. She was knocked off the chair and hit her head. He didn't stop to think and he hurt her- the only person who, up until now never said anything to him. Maybe that was her plan to make him feel like shit and ruin his life. It's her fault. Why would she even say these things, his sister the only one nice enough to care a little. She was spilling onto the floor he saw. The blood pooled under her hair. He felt trapped again, stunned she was hurting, dying even. It was a lot of blood.

Then he heard the door click open. Two people shuffling inside. Another voice from outside asking to come in.

He didn't stop to think. He just bolted outside the back door as quickly as he could, running past the gate out of the yard into an alleyway. It was getting dark. His mind was getting clouded. His heart was beating faster. He kept running making random turns in case the police were on his feet. She did say they were coming to remove him. After an hour he made it deeper in the city further down grimy alleyways where he tried random doors, all locked. Until he happened upon a closed down store. Windows boarded up, glass broken anyways, a chain wrapped itself around the door handle. He looked up and down the alleyway, when he heard sirens he grabbed a wooden board, prying it off. A blister caught his wrist, but he crawled in one leg at a time through sharp broken glass. It hurt like hell but inside was dark, isolated, even...safe. As he slid down into his knees, back against the furthest wall inside, his thigh was bleeding, his wrist inflamed and stinging, heart pounding and thoughts racing, he heard it.

A deep noise hummed into his thoughts. "Did you run far enough?", the voice didn't come from any one direction but pushed out of his head into his thoughts. A figure loomed past the stairwell Sawyer failed to notice earlier. The exhaustion settled on his shoulders, and anxiety froze his legs.

"How badly would you like.... To escape...", the voice seemed louder, more founded in reality. Emanating from the figure Sawyer refused to look directly at.

"Just turn me in. Kill me if you can...I think that would be easier." The frightened boy was talking into knees, tears sliding down his face alongside the blood spilled from his legs. "Please I just want to be alone again..", he whimpered quietly, "I'd do anything to be alone and safe again."

"What if all you had to do was say yes?" The figure now loomed over Sawyer. It's massive shape hovered above him radiating outward force like it was generating lift. It had human shaped head somewhere beneath what looked like a neck, if a spinal cord was composed of solid dark shadows. It's face was shaped like a mask with painted tears streaming down it's face. It's torso seemed to be composed of obscured chains constantly materializing and dissipating in the shadows. "Give me your potential and I can offer you solace"

The boy sniffled, and caught his breath, then he laughed," My potential..." it almost made him cry, but he just snickered, "Take it all, what are you the useless devil? Want my wasted time, my empty relationships,... my worthlessness!?" He was now sobbing underneath his words. "Take whatever you want, and when you find something useful kill me so I can prove my sister right!"

"I accept."A crackle of light flooded the room and Sawyer fell unconscious
