A common characteristic often attached to Josephine Winchester was stubbornness. She was proclaimed to be the most stubborn person in the entire world, refusing to stand down from practically anything that would contradict her state of mind. It was hard to persuade her to accept something that didn't align with the reality that she had already settled upon. She would continue to resist until she had been forced into exhaustion but even then, it would be a begrudged surrender.

"I can't believe you're asking me to do this for you!" Josephine didn't dare to hide her annoyance.

The teen girl was currently sat on the edge of her bed, her cell phone perched in the crook of her shoulder as she tried to diligently apply another layer of polish to her nails. After a gruelling long week, she was in desperate need of a break and decided to take the time to dedicate an entire evening to fulfilling her needs. Her period of relaxation only lasted an hour before she had received a frantic phone call from her best friend, begging to become the replacement babysitter for her.

"Please, please, please!" Erica's desperate pleas had filled the air, hoping that would be enough to convince her stubborn best friend.

Josephine had to suck in a steady of breath of air to keep her rising feelings of irritation. "Erica . . . I'm not taking over your babysitting duties just so you can go to a party, especially a party that's being hosted by Jessie and his band of freaks."

"Josie, come on!" Erica couldn't help but whine, almost akin to a small child. "This could be my only chance at being cool."

Josephine couldn't help but let out a reluctant sigh, understanding the heavy truth that laid within her friend's selfish pleas. Erica had always struggled to form friendships as everyone had practically branded her as the 'obsessive fan girl' and believed that was a strange attribute she held. Nobody cared to look past those superficial traits, preferring to just ignore her instead and that definitely hurt to see. She felt bad for her friend but she didn't think a party was the best solution.

"That's not the point. We've known about this party for like a week and you still agreed to babysit for the Morgans. You can't just bail on them." Josephine pointed out.

"But I did all that before I was invited to the party." Erica argued. "Plus there will be a lot of cute guys at this party! Are you going to deny me the chances of meeting my future husband?!"

Josephine understood that she would not hear the end of this conversation, knowing that her friend was just as stubborn as she was. She knew that she had to reluctantly give in and forfeit her free time to cover the girl's babysitting duties. "Fine, I'll do it." She let out a reluctant sigh.
