"I'm sorry miss, but we just cannot accept your application."

Y/N sighed, thanking the employer for their time and standing up from her seat. That was the third job she was declined from today. Y/N walked out of the shabby coffee shop she was in and tossed her empty cup away in the trash. Embarrassment and ashamement seemed to emanate from her, and she held her head low.

The pouring rain hadn't stopped since early this morning, and the rain droplets beat her like bullets, soaking her H/C hair and her clothes. A sigh stifled its way out from her rosy lips, as she accepted the rain, cold drops dripping down her skin.

All of a sudden, Y/N's sulking was interrupted by the cutesy jingle of her ringtone. She took her phone out from her pocket, examining the screen which was lit up by a picture of her and her best friend.

'Ah, it's B/F/N.' she thought to herself.

B/F/N has been her best friend since the two were in primary school, and they haven't separated since.

Pressing the accept call button, Y/N held the phone up to her ear.

"Hey, N/N~! How'd the interviews go? Any luck?" B/F/N chimed, hoping for a positive response.

"Nope." Y/N answered back, popping the 'p'.

"Welp, I've got good news then! I got you a job!" B/F/N says enthusiastically.

"Huh? What do you mean 'you got me a job'? Like, no interview?" Y/N questioned her.

"Uh-huh! It's at that weird Pizzaplex place. It's made by the same people who made that pizza arcade place your sister used to love when she was younger. You'll be a mechanic! I know you're good at that stuff!" B/F/N responded enthusiastically.

"Hmm, okay. When do I go?" Y/N kept the questions coming, firing them like missiles.

"They'd like you to start today! Like, soon. You have the night shift, so you should probably get your ass over there, N/N! It's already 9 o'clock!" laughed, prompting Y/N to sigh in response.

"Thanks. Talk to you later, B/F/N." Y/N finished, before pulling the phone away from her ear and pressing the red icon to hang up.

Y/N walked over to her car, opened the door, and scrambled in, slamming the door behind her to prevent the insides of her car from getting soaked. She took a moment to sit down and ran her fingers through her wet hair. Exhaling heavily, she took her key out of her pocket, put it into the ignition, and started her car. Y/N set her phone down, mapping the GPS to bring her to this 'Pizzaplex place' B/F/N had mentioned.

Following the GPS, she found herself parked in front of a huge mall-esque place. It looked a bit too fancy for the small city they lived in. Getting out of her car, Y/N locked the doors, and walked up to the entrance of the Pizzaplex, once again getting soaked by the rain.

Walking up to the giant glass doors, they slid open by themselves as she approached, which sort of shocked Y/N since not many places around here had a budget like that. It was Hurricane, Utah after all, which most certainly wasn't known for grand buildings such as the one she just entered.

Drops of rainwater occasionally dripped down from her long/short H/C hair, yet she paid no mind to it. Y/N walked into the building and was greeted by waiting staff at the front. Approaching the waiting staff, she was immediately met by a medium-height blond woman. She smiled at Y/N, greeting her with the usual customer service bullshit greeting you'd expect to hear.
